Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya tayangan film yang tidak mendidik terutama bagi anak-anak remaja sehingga diperlukan film-film yang memuat nilai pendidikan. Salah satunya adalah film Iqro My Universe. Film Iqro My Universe dipilih karena film tersebut memuat banyak nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat menjadi teladan bagi anak-anak. Selain itu, film dipilih karena mampu memengaruhi seseorang sehingga berpotensi untuk dijadikan bahan ajar di sekolah. Salah satunya bahan ajar teks ulasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi berkaitan dengan (1) struktur naratif film Iqro My Universe; (2) nilai pendidikan karakter dalam film Iqro My Universe; dan (3) pemanfaatan hasil analisis sebagai bahan ajar teks ulasan di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deksriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak catat dan dokumentasi. Adapun analisis data dilakukan dengan menganalisis struktur naratif film Iqro My Universe menggunakan pendekatan struktur, lalu dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Struktur naratif film Iqro My Universe lengkap dan jelas meliputi alur dan pengaluran, latar, tokoh dan penokohan, tema, judul, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa dan tone, serta terdapat unsur sinematik berupa mise-en-scene, sinematografi, dan suara; (2) Film Iqro My Universe memiliki 5 nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu religius, mandiri, nasionalisme, gotong royong, dan integritas, namun nilai karakter yang sangat dominan adalah nilai religius; (3) Hasil analisis dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar teks ulasan berupa modul untuk kelas VIII SMP/MTs. Bahan ajar telah divalidasi oleh expert-judgement dan dinyatakan layak sebagai salah satu alternatif bahan ajar di sekolah. This research is motivated by the proliferation of non-educational films, especially for teenagers, so films that contain educational values are needed. One of them is the film Iqro My Universe. The film Iqro My Universe was chosen because the film contains many characters education values that can be role models for children. In addition, the film was chosen because it is able to influence someone so that it has the potential to be used as teaching material in schools. One of them is review text teaching materials. This study aims to obtain a description related to (1) the narrative structure in the film Iqro My Universe; (2) the value of character education in the Iqro My Universe film; and (3) the use of the results of the analysis as teaching materials for review texts in junior high schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data analysis was carried out by analyzing the narrative structure of the Iqro My Universe film using a structural approach and analyzing the character education values contained in the Iqro My Universe film through the scenes of the characters. The data collection was done by using note-taking and documentation techniques Furthermore, the researchers analyzed the character education values contained in the Iqro My Universe film through the scenes of the characters. The results of this study are (1) The narrative structure of the Iqro My Universe film is complete and clear, including plot and plot, setting, characters and characterizations, theme, title, point of view, language style and tone, and there are cinematic elements in the form of mise-en-scene, cinematography, and sound; (2) Iqro My Universe film has 5 character values, namely religious, independent, nationalist, mutual cooperation, and integrity, but the dominant character values are religious values; (3) The results of the analysis are used as teaching materials for review texts in the form of modules for class VIII SMP/MTs. The teaching materials have been validated by Expert-Judgement and have been declared worthy as one of the alternative teaching materials in schools.
