    Abstract

    ABSTRAK-Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menerapkan model Pendidikan Sistem Ganda (PSG). Salah satu realisasi model PSG yaitu Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) bagi siswa. Dalam pelaksanaan PKL peran divisi humas sekolah menjadi sangat penting terutama dalam berhubungan dengan Industri Dunia Usaha dan Dunia Kerja (IDUKA) sebagai mitra kerja tempat pelaksanaan PKL. Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui peran divisi humas dalam pelaksanaan PKL, untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan PKL itu sendiri, dan untuk mengetahui kontribusi peran divisi humas terhadap pelaksanaan PKL. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas XII jurusan DPIB di SMKN 2 Payakumbuh dengan jumlah 54 siswa dengan menggunakan instrumen angket. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis (uji regresi linear sederhana). Hasil penelitian melalui uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa, 1) Divisi humas SMKN 2 Payakumbuh berperan secara dominan pada periode sebelum pelaksanaan PKL dan berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 46,30%. 2) Pelaksanaan PKL di SMKN 2 Payakumbuh dibagi menjadi 2 periode setiap tahun ajaran dengan menggunakan pola bulanan selama 3 bulan dan berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 40,70%. 3) Kontribusi peran divisi humas terhadap pelaksanaan PKL berada pada kategori lemah dengan persentase 7,3%.

    ABSTRACT-Vocational High School (SMK) is an educational institution that implements the Dual System Education (PSG) model. One of the realizations of the PSG model is the Field Work Practice (PKL) for students. In the implementation of street vendors, the role of the school's public relations division is very important, especially in dealing with the Business World Industry and the World of Work (IDUKA) as partners where street vendors are implemented. This study aims to determine the role of the public relations division in the implementation of street vendors, to determine the implementation of street vendors themselves, and to determine the contribution of the role of the public relations division to the implementation of street vendors. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted on class XII students majoring in DPIB at SMKN 2 Payakumbuh with a total of 54 students using a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing (simple linear regression test). The results of the research through hypothesis testing showed that, 1) Public Relations Division of SMKN 2 Payakumbuh played a dominant role in the period before the implementation of street vendors and was in the medium category with a percentage of 46.30%. 2) The implementation of street vendors at SMKN 2 Payakumbuh is divided into 2 periods each academic year using a monthly pattern for 3 months and is in the medium category with a percentage of 40.70%. 3) The contribution of the public relations division to the implementation of street vendors is in the weak category with a percentage of 7.3%.
