Abstract

Palembang merupakan salah satu kota di Indonesia yang rawan banjir. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi banjir yaitu dapat melalui bidang pendidikan. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di SMA Negeri Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik uji somer’s (dyx). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer peserta didik di SMA Negeri Kota Palembang yaitu berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai tertinggi berada pada aspek translasi dan nilai terendah berada pada aspek ekstrapolasi. Jika dipilah berdasarkan lokasi kerawanan banjir menunjukan bahwa pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer peserta didik di lokasi dengan tingkat kerawanan banjir tinggi yaitu berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 62,55. Adapun pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer peserta didik di lokasi dengan tingkat kerawanan banjir sedang yaitu berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 60,07. Selanjutnya secara umum sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di SMA Negeri Kota Palembang berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai tertinggi berada pada aspek kognisi dan nilai terendah berada pada aspek konasi. Jika dipilah berdasarkan lokasi kerawanan banjir menunjukan bahwa sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di lokasi dengan tingkat kerawanan banjir tinggi yaitu berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 67,00. Adapun sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di lokasi dengan tingkat kerawanan banjir sedang yaitu berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 63,38. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan derajat korelasi yang berada pada kategori kuat yaitu sebesar 0,714 antara pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di SMA Negeri Kota Palembang, serta koefisien determiniasinya sebesar 51% dan 49% dipengarhui oleh faktor lain. Selanjutnya penulis juga menyadari bahwa penelitian ini memiliki kekurangan yaitu ukuran dari sikap peduli lingkungan yang dimaksud hanya dilihat dari pemahaman materi dinamika hidrosfer saja, padahal penumbuhan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik difokuskan pada pemahaman geografi secara keseluruhan. Kata Kunci: Materi Dinamika Hidrosfer, Sikap Peduli Lingkungan. Palembang is one of the cities in Indonesia which is prone to flooding. One way to reduce flooding is through education. The main objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the understanding of hydrosphere of dynamics topic and environmental care attitudes of students in SMA Negeri Palembang. This study used survey methods and descriptive statistical analysis techniques and Somer's (dyx) test statistics. Based on the results of the study, it shows that in general the understanding of the hydrosphere of dynamics topic of students at SMA Negeri Palembang is in the good category with the highest score in the translation aspect and the lowest score in the extrapolation aspect. If it is sorted based on the location of flood vulnerability, it shows that the understanding of the hydrosphere dynamics of students in locations with a high flood hazard level is in the good category with an average value of 62.55. As for the understanding of hydrosphere dynamics topic of students in locations with moderate levels of flood vulnerability, namely in the good category with a large average value of 60.07. Furthermore, in general, the environmental care attitude of students at SMA Negeri Palembang is in the good category with the highest score in the cognitive aspect and the lowest score in the conation aspect. If it is sorted based on the location of flood vulnerability, it shows that the environmental care attitude of students in locations with a high level of flood vulnerability is in the good category with an average value of 67,00. The environmental care attitude of students in locations with moderate levels of flood vulnerability is in the good category with an average value of 63,38. There is a significant relationship with the degree of correlation which is in the strong category, which is 0,714 between the understanding of dynamics of topic and the environmental care attitude of students in SMA Negeri Palembang, and the coefficient of determination of 51% and 49% influenced by other factors. Furthermore, the author also realizes that this study has a weakness, namely the measure of environmental care in question is only seen from the understanding of the hydrosphere dynamics material, even though the growth of students' environmental care attitudes is focused on understanding geography as a whole.
