Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi menggunakan model pembelajaran kata kunci berbantuan media putar kaleng pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Cintalanggeng III Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan bantuan program miscrosoft Excel dan SPSS. Berdasarkan perhitungan awal, skor keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masuk pada kategori rendah. Setelah dilakukan treatmen diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol mempunyai nilai uji independent di bawah alfa. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata N-Gain keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol tidak sama setelah diberi perlakukan. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi antara siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. This study aims to improve the learning process of descriptive writing skills using a concept sentence model assisted by roll the can media in grade IV SD Negeri Cintalanggeng III Karawang. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method. Data collection methods used were tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out with the help of Microsoft Excel and SPSS programs. Based on preliminary calculations, the scores of descriptive writing skills in the control class and experimental class fall into the low category. After the treatment was carried out, it was known that the N-Gain mean value of the experimental class and control class had an independent test value below alpha. This shows that the average N-Gain skill of writing essays descriptions of the experimental class and the control class is not the same after being treated. Thus, there is a difference in the improvement of descriptive writing skills between students in the experimental class and the control class.
