Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Strategi Latihan Mahasiswa dalam Mata kuliah Gitar Iringan di Departemen Pendidikan Musik UPI”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang strategi latihan mencakup aspek waktu dan materi latihan pada mahasiswa yang terjadi di luar perkuliahan gitar iringan. Manfaat penelitian ini untuk menambah referensi ilmu pengetahuan bagi peneliti dan pembaca tentang strategi latihan musik. Penelitian ini merumuskan dua masalah, rumusan tersebut diantaranya bagaimana strategi mengatur waktu latihan dalam mata kuliah gitar iringan dan bagaimana strategi menyusun materi latihan dalam mata kuliah gitar iringan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dimana apa yang peneliti temukan dilaporkan secara deskriptif. Temuan pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara kegiatan observasi dan kegiatan wawancara, sehingga peneliti mendapatkan temuan bahwa strategi latihan ditemukan pada saat mahasiswa berlatih alat musik gitar di luar perkuliahan gitar iringan. Strategi latihan dalam pelaksanaannya tidak ada patokan benar atau salah, karena setiap mahasiswa memiliki strategi latihannya masing-masing, dan pada akhirnya strategi latihan tersebut harus bisa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran khususnya pada perkuliahan gitar iringan. Dengan begitu strategi latihan bisa memudahkan mahasiswa untuk mempelajari instrumen gitar iringan. This research is entitled "Student Training Strategies in Accompaniment Guitar Subject at the UPI Music Education Department". The purpose of this study was to describe the training strategies covering aspects of time and training material for students that occurred outside of accompaniment guitar lectures. The benefit of this research is to add scientific references for researchers and readers about musical practice strategies. This study formulates two problems, these formulations include how to strategies for managing practice time in accompaniment guitar courses and how to strategies for preparing training material in accompaniment guitar courses. In this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive research method, where what the researchers found was reported descriptively. The findings in this study were obtained by means of observation and interview activities, so that the researchers found that the practice strategy was found when students practiced guitar musical instruments outside of accompaniment guitar lectures. The practice strategy in its implementation has no standard of right or wrong, because each student has their own practice strategy, and in the end the practice strategy must be able to achieve the learning objectives, especially in accompaniment guitar lectures. That way the practice strategy can make it easier for students to learn accompaniment guitar instruments.
