Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi dengan kontribusi peer attachment terhadap kebahagiaan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hubungan antara peer attachment dengan kebahagiaan remaja. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 35 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 317 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen peer attachment yang diadaptasi dari inventory of parents and peer attachment-revised dan instrumen kebahagiaan yang diadaptasi dari authentic happiness inventory. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala likert dengan data yang dihasilkan yaitu data ordinal sehingga dilakukan analisis korelasi menggunakan spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum peer attachment peserta didik berada pada kategori anxious-ambivalent attachment dan kebahagiaan peserta didik berada pada kategori cukup bahagia. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan analisis korelasi spearman’s rho yaitu r = 0,620, Sig. = 0,000 < 0,005 yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara peer attachment dengan kebahagiaan remaja. The Relationship Between Peer Attachment and Adolescent Happiness (Correlational Study in 8th Grade at Junior High School 35 Bandung Academic Year 2020/2021). This research is motivated by contribution of peer attachment to adolescent happiness. The purpose of this research was to explain the relation between peer attachments and adolescence happiness. A quantitative approach with correlational methods was used for analysis. Saturated samples, specifically all 8th grade SMP Negeri 35 Bandung Academic Year 2020/2021 students with a total of 317 students, were the samples used. Data collection techniques used for peer attachment instrument was adapted from the inventory of parents and peer attachment-revised and the happiness instrument was adapted from the authentic happiness inventory. The scale used was a likert scale that generates ordinal data so that spearman's rho was used to do correlation analysis. The results showed that students' peer attachment was in the category of anxious-ambivalent attachment and happiness was in the category of quite happy. The results of hypothesis testing with spearman’s rho correlation analysis showed results (r =0.620, Sig. = 0.000 <0.05) which means that there is a significant positive relationship between peer attachments and adolescence happiness.
