Abstract
Keterampilan menyimak merupakan kegiatan keterampilan berbahasa yang sering kita tidak sadari. Antusias siswa dalam menyimak masih rendah. Salah satu kemampuan siswa setelah menyimak yaitu menyimpulkan isi pokok dari bahan simakan. Beberapa siswa masih ada yang kesulitan dalam menyimpulkan isi pokok cerita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa menyimak dalam menyimpulkan isi pokok cerita biografi menggunakan media aplikasi animasi di kelas V Sekolah Dasar SDN Cileunyi 02. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, tes, dan angket. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data menurut Lavrakas. Dari hasil temuan terdapat 8 orang siswa dari jumlah keseluruhan siswa kelas V SDN Cileunyi 02 yang kemampuan menyimak dalam menyimpulkan isi pokok cerita biografi masih rendah. Faktor-faktor yang menghambat kemampuan siswa rendah dalam menyimak isi pokok cerita biografi yaitu siswa kurang fokus, motivasi belajar siswa masih rendah, serta kurangnya fasilitas dalam menyimak. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi guru, siswa, dan pihak lain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimpulkan isi pokok cerita pada siswa sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: ----- Listening skills are language skills activities that we often do not realize. Students' enthusiasm in listening is still low. One of the students' abilities after listening is to conclude the main content of the listening material. Some students still have difficulty in concluding the main content of the story. This study aims to analyze the students' listening ability in concluding the main content of biographical stories using animation application media in grade V SDN Cileunyi 02. This study uses qualitative research with content analysis methods. The data techniques used were interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using data analysis techniques according to Lavrakas. From the findings, there were 8 students from the total number of fifth grade students of SDN Cileunyi 02 whose listening ability in concluding the main content of biographical stories was still low. Factors that hinder students' low ability to listen to the main content of biographical stories are students who are less focused, student learning motivation is still low, and listening facilities. This research is expected to be a reference for teachers, students, and other parties to improve the ability to conclude the main content of stories in elementary school students.
