Abstract
ABSTRAK Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) ini dirancang untuk melatih mahasiswa S-1 kependidikan agar mereka menguasai kemampuan keguruan yang utuh dan terintegrasi sehingga memiliki kesiapan dalam melaksanakan tugas sebagai guru yang profesional. Salah satu penunjang keberhasilannya adalah terjalinnya komunikasi yang baik dalam setiap kegiatan. Penelitian ini akan menjawab beberapa permasalahan yaitu 1. Bagaimana komunikasi antara mahasiswa PPL dengan guru pamong geografi dan dosen pembimbing untuk proses PPL. 2. Bagaimana strategi komunikasi yang baik antara mahasiswa PPL dengan guru pamong geografi dan dosen pembimbing untuk dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan PPL. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah yang digunakan untuk PPL di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analisis berdasarkan dari hasil angket, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 5 sekolah yang diambil secara random berdasarkan klaster sekolah di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Scorring dan SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian proses komunikasi pada proses PPL sebenarnya cukup baik, untuk nilai skor kegiatan 16,91 dan nilai skor proses komunikasi 717 keduanya masuk kategori kelas I yaitu baik. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kegiatan yang tidak terlaksana, komunikasi yang terjadi dikatakan efektif karena hasil penelitian menunjukan presentase nilai proses komunikasi sebesar 78,79% dan masuk kategori kelas I yaitu baik. Didapatkan strategi komunikasi untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan PPL yaitu strategi ST (Strength Threats), mempertahankan proses komunikasi dalam kegiatan yang sudah terlaksana dengan baik dan menambahkan kegiatan berupa arahan untuk PPL serta sueprvisi mengajar yang dilakukan oleh dosen pembimbing agar tetap menunjang keberhasilan program. Kata Kunci : Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dan Komunikasi Abstract School-based Field Study (PPL) is designed to train students of S-1 of education so that they master the skills of teacher training whole and integrated so that it has the readiness to carry out duties as professional teachers. One of the supporting success is the establishment of good communication in every activities. This research will answer some of the problems that 1. How is the communication between students and master teachers of geography and supervisor. 2. How a good communication strategy between students and master teachers of geography and supervisor to improve success of School-based Field Study program. This research was conducted in the school which is used for PPL in the City of Bandung. The method used in this research is descriptive method of analysis based on the results of questionnaire, interview, and literature study. This Sample consists of 5 schools which are taken at random based on a cluster of schools in the City of Bandung. This research uses the analysis of Scorring and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat). Based on the research results the communication process in School-based Field Study actually quite good, for the value of the score activities 16,91 and the value of the score of the communication process 717 both in the category of class I that is better. Although there are some activities couldn’t implemented, the communication that occurs is said to be effective because the results showed the percentage of the value of the communication process of 78,79% and in the category of class I that is better. Achieved communication strategy to increase the success of School-based Field Study, namely the ST strategy (Strength and Threats), to maintain the process of communication in the activities that are already performing well and adding activities in the form of referrals to School-based Field Study as well as supervision of the teaching done by the supervisor in order to remain to support the success of the program.
