Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan Rancangan Pembelajaran Berbasis Metode PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) dalam keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari rendahnya keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Proses pengembangan rancangan pembelajaran berbasis metode PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) dalam keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar ini menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Linstone Harold A et al yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu tahap (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) tahap mendesain (3) tahap verifikasi/validasi dan (4) Menganalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan dengan dirancangnya kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan kegiatan penutup rancangan pembelajaran berbasis metode PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) diprediksi dapat meningkat. Pada kegiatan pendahuluan harus menunjukan kegiatan penerapan dengan metode pembelajaran PQ4R, kegiatan inti harus sesuai dengan langkah-langkah berdasarkan PQ4R dan memuat keterampilan membaca siswa, dan kegiatan penutup harus memuat kegiatan yang menekankan pada kegiatan refleksi dan penerapan dari PQ4R. Keterampilan membaca dalam penelituan ini diharapkan terjadi pada keseluruhan dari tahap PQ4R. Kata Kunci : PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review), Membaca Pemahaman PQ4R METHOD BASED LEARNING DESIGN IN CLASS III UNDERSTANDING READING SKILLS PRIMARY SCHOOL ABSTRACT This study aims to develop a learning design based on the PQ4R method (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) in reading comprehension skills of grade III elementary school students. This research was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of grade III elementary school students. The process of developing a learning design based on the PQ4R method (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) in reading comprehension skills of grade III elementary school students using a model developed by Linstone Harold A et al which consists of 4 stages, namely the stage (1 ) preliminary study, (2) design stage (3) verification / validation phase and (4) analyze. The results of this study indicate that by designing preliminary activities, Core activities and closing activities for learning design based on the PQ4R method (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) are predicted to increase. Preliminary activities must show implementation activities with the PQ4R learning method, core activities must be in accordance with the steps based on PQ4R and contain students' reading skills, and closing activities must contain activities that emphasize reflection and application activities of PQ4R. Reading skills in this study are expected to occur in the entire PQ4R stage. and closing activities must contain activities that emphasize reflection and implementation of PQ4R.
