Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh keingintahuan penulis tentang bagaimana motivasi orang tua memilih sekolah di Raudhatul Athfal (RA). Hal ini didasari karena penulis sering melihat lebih banyak orang tua yang memilih anaknya untuk sekolah di di Raudhatul Athfal (RA) dibandignkan dengan lembaga PAUD lain. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pandangan orang tua terhadap Raudhatul Athfal (RA), dan motivasi orang tua memilih sekolah di Raudhatul Athfal (RA). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Fenomenologi. Partisipan yang menjadi narasumber pada penelitian ini ialah 3 orang tua yang menyekolahkan anak di Raudhatul Athfal (RA) dengan latar belakang yang berbeda-beda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, orang tua berpandangan bahwa RA merupakan salah satu lembaga PAUD yang berada di dalam naungan Kemenag, yang mana dalam pembelajarannya memiliki kurikulum juga program-program yang lebih unggul dalam ilmu agama. Lalu, motivasi orang tua menyekolahkan anak di RA didorong oleh 3 faktor, yaitu unggul dalam agama, faktor ekonomi, dan letak geografis (jarak). Kata Kunci : Motivasi, Orang Tua, Raudhatul Athfal (RA) ABSTRACK MOTIVATION OF PARENTS CHOOSING SCHOOLS IN RAUDHATUL ATHFAL (RA) Limlim Halimatussa’diyah 1607872 This research is motivated by the author's curiosity about how the motivation of parents to choose schools in Raudhatul Athfal (RA). This is based on the fact that the authors often see more parents choosing their children to study in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) compared to other PAUD institutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out how parents view Raudhatul Athfal (RA), and their motivation to choose schools in Raudhatul Athfal (RA). The method used in this research is phenomenology. Participants who became resource persons in this study were 3 parents who send their children to Raudhatul Athfal (RA) with different backgrounds. Based on the results of the research, parents have the view that RA is one of the PAUD institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion, which in learning has a curriculum as well as programs that are superior in religious sciences. Then, the motivation of parents to send their children to RA is driven by 3 factors, namely superiority in religion, economic factors, and geographic location (distance).
