Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang kesesuian isi buku teks pada topik bangun ruang terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesesuaian materi dan soal latihan pada buku teks topik bangun ruang terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian penelitian analisis isi. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah buku siswa “Senang Belajar Matematika” untuk kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tabel pedoman analisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis maka didapatkan hasil 31,7% kesesuaian materi terhadap indikator pemahaman konsep matematis, persentase kesesuaian soal pilihan ganda uji kompetensi topik bangun ruang sebesar 50% pada indikator menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah dipelajari, 50% pada indikator menerapkan konsep secara algoritma, serta 0% pada keempat indikator lainnya seperti menggklasifikasi objek-objek berdasarkan konsep matematika, memberikan contoh atau bukan contoh dari konsep yang sedang dipelajari, menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai representasi, dan mengaitkan berbagai konsep matematika secara internal atau eksternal. Adapun persentase kesesuaian soal uraian uji kompetensi pada topik bangun ruang didapatkan 8% pada indikator menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah dipelajari, 0% pada indikator mengklasifikasi objek-objek berdasarkan konsep matematika, 56% pada indikator menerapkan konsep secara algoritma, 8% pada indikator memberikan contoh atau bukan contoh dari kosep yang sedang dipelajari, 0% pada indikator menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai representasi, dan 28% pada indikator mengaitkan berbagai konsep matematika secara internal atau eksternal. Dari hasil persentase yang didapat dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa keseseuaian materi dan soal latihan pada buku siswa “Senang Belajar Matematika” topik bangun ruang untuk kelas V SD terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis berada dalam kategori kurang. ------ This study examines the suitability of the contents of textbooks on the topic of geometry with the ability to understand mathematical concepts of fifth grade elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the material and practice questions in the textbook on the topic of geometry to the understanding of mathematical concepts. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method using content analysis research type. The object in this study is the student book "Happy Learning Mathematics" for grade V Elementary Schools. The instrument used was the analysis guidance table. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that from the results of 31.7% of the suitability of the material with indicators of understanding of mathematical concepts, the percentage of suitability of multiple choice questions about the competency test of the topic of space construction by 50% on indicators restated the concepts that were studied, 50% on indicators applying concepts in a algorithm, and 0% on four other indicators such as classifying objects based on mathematical concepts, giving examples or not examples of concepts being studied, presenting concepts in various representations, and connecting various mathematical concepts internally or externally. The percentage of suitability of competency test questions on the topic of space construction is 8% on indicators that restate the concepts that have been learned, 0% on indicators classifying objects based on mathematical concepts, 56% on indicators applying algorithmic concepts, 8% on indicators giving examples or not examples of concepts under study, 0% on indicators present concepts in various representations, and 28% on indicators connect various mathematical concepts internally or externally. From the percentage results obtained in this study indicate that the suitability of the material and practice questions in the student book "Happy Learning Mathematics" on the topic of building space for elementary school class V towards understanding mathematical concepts are in the less category.
