Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya penanaman nilai empati dalam diri individu. Nilai empati merupakan kemampuan inidividu untuk memahami perasaan orang lain. Ketika individu mampu memahami perasaan orang lain, maka akan menumbuhkan kepedulian dalam membantu menganti permasalahan orang lain. Faktor yang menyebabkan siswa kurang memiliki keoptimalan dalam menanamkan nilai empati yaitu dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor. Faktor pertama yang mempengaruhi permasalahan ini yaitu memiliki rasa acuh terhadap teman sehingga menimbulkan kurang kepedulian terhadap sesama. Faktor kedua yang mempengaruhi permasalahan ini yaitu siswa tidak dilibatkan secara langsung oleh guru saat melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan muatan nilai empati pada dongeng fabel dalam buku tematik kelas 2 sekolah dasar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis data menurut Creswell (2016) yang memiliki enam tahapan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yang kemunculan nilai empati pada dongeng fabel dalam buku tematik kelas 2 yang memiliki jumlah terbanyak yaitu indikator yang diperoleh dari dimensi fantasy dan empathic concern. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan yang dilakukan bahwa dongeng fabel yang terdapat pada buku tematik siswa kelas 2 sekolah dasar yang diterbitkan oleh Kemendikbud dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena telah mengandung nilai empati. Maka, dongeng fabel merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dalam mengembangkan nilai empati siswa. ----- The less optimal cultivation of empathy values in individuals is this study background. The empathy values are an individual’s ability to understand the feelings one another. When individuals are able to understand other people’s feelings, it will foster concern in helping other people’s problems. There are two factors that cause students to lack optimism in instilling empathy. The first factor is having a sense of indifference to friends, which causes less concern for others. The second factor is that students are not directly involved by the teachers when carrying out learning in the class. The purpose of this study was to describe the content of the empathy values in fable tales in students’ thematic books of elementary school (2nd grade). The data analysis technique used data analysis according to Creswell which has six stages (2016). The results of this study indicate that the emergence of the empathy values in the fables in students’ thematic books having the highest in 2nd grade is the indicator obtained from the fantasy dan empathic concern. dimension. Based on the results of research conducted, the fable tale contained in students’ thematic books of elementary schools (2nd grade) published by the Ministry of Education and Culture can be used in learning because it contains empathy values. So, the fable is an alternative in the implementation of classroom learning in developing empathy students’.
