Abstract

Matematika memiliki kontribusi besar dalam perubahan pendidikan. Mengingat besarnya peran matematika dalam peradaban manusia, matematika menjadi suatu disiplin ilmu yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa mulai dari jenjang sekolah dasar sampai perguruan tinggi. Salah satu tujuan diberikannya pelajaran matematika di pendidikan dasar, menengah atau tinggi pada era pendidikan 4.0 adalah untuk mengembangkan high order thinking skill (HOTS) yang dimiliki siswa. Penerapan HOTS diharapkan membuat siswa menjadi pemikir kritis, pemecah masalah, innovator, komunikator, dan memberikan tauladan yang digerakkan nilai-nilai. Pentingnya kemampuan matematika di era pendidikan 4.0 dan banyaknya beberapa respon baik positif dan negatif di kalangan siswa, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Tendensi Sikap Siswa terhadap Citra Matematika di Era Pendidikan 4.0. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang melibatkan siswa sekolah dasar di kecamatan Cileunyi, Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu berupa angket/kuesioner. Data analisis diolah menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tendensi siswa terhadap citra matematika di era pendidikan 4.0 yang masuk dalam kategori sangat baik sebesar 9,09% (8 siswa), pada kategori baik sebesar 19,32% (17 siswa), kategori cukup baik sebesar 35,23% (31 siswa), kategori kurang baik 28,41% (25 siswa), dan kategori sangat kurang baik 7,95% (7 siswa). Sementara faktor penyebab munculnya tendensi siswa terhadap citra matematika di era pendidikan 4.0 yaitu faktor guru yang mengajarkan, faktor materi matematika, faktor psikologis siswa itu sendiri, dan faktor teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. ----- Mathematics has a huge contribution to educational change. Given the large role of mathematics in human civilization, mathematics becomes a discipline that must be mastered by students ranging from elementary school to college. One of the objectives of math lessons in primary, secondary or higher education in the 4.0 education era is to develop high order thinking skills (HOTS) owned by students. The implementation of HOTS is expected to make students critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, communicators, and provide grade-driven tauladan. The importance of mathematics skills in the education era 4.0 and the number of positive and negative responses among students, this study aims to find out the Tendency of Students' Attitude to The Image of Mathematics in the Era of Education 4.0. The research used is quantitative descriptive research with survey methods involving elementary school students in Cileunyi sub-district, Bandung. The research instruments used are in the form of questionnaires. Analysis data is processed using descriptive analysis with descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the tendency of students to the image of mathematics in the education era of 4.0 that fell into the category was very good at 9.09% (8 students), in the good category of 19.32% (17 students), the category was good enough at 35.23% (31 students), the category was less good 28.41% (25 students), and the category was very poor 7.95% (7 students). While the contributing factors to the emergence of students' tendency towards the image of mathematics in the education era 4.0 are the teacher factors that teach, the material factors of mathematics, the psychological factors of the students themselves, and the factors of information technology and communication.
