Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah kerusakan moral dan urgensi peranan bahan ajar di sekolah dasar sebagai sarana untuk menanamkan dan mengembangkan karakter siswa. Puisi merupakan salah satu materi bahasa Indonesia yang mengandung nilai–nilai positif dan mampu membentuk karakter siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui unsur intrinsik puisi dan kandungan nilai karakter puisi dalam buku tematik kelas IV SD Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian analisis isi. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu buku tematik kelas IV tema 6 “Cita –Citaku” dengan jumlah 11 teks puisi. Instrumen penelitian berupa tabel pedoman analisis unsur intrinsik puisi, tabel data hasil observasi unsur intrinsik puisi, tabel pedoman analisis nilai karakter, dan tabel data hasil observasi nilai karakter yang mengacu pada indikator Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks puisi pada buku tematik kelas IV SD memiliki unsur intrinsik yang bersifat sederhana dari segi struktur dan bahasa sehingga relevan dengan karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar serta memuat nilai karakter yang terdapat pada PPK. Unsur intrinsik puisi yang dikaji pada penelitian ini meliputi: tema, amanat, diksi, rima, dan citraan/imaji. Nilai karakter yang ditemukan, antara lain nilai karakter religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong, dan integritas dengan 14 subnilai dari keseluruhan 20 subnilai dalam PPK. Terdapat 6 subnilai yang tidak terkandung dalam puisi, antara lain subnilai toleransi, subnilai kreatif, subnilai disiplin, subnilai kerjasama, subnilai kekeluargaan, dan subnilai cinta pada kebenaran. ----- This research is motivated by the moral depravity and the importance of teaching materials which is applied in elementary school as a facility to instill and develop students character. Poetry is one of Indonesian subject that contains positive values that are able to forming the character of students. The purpose of this study is to identify intrinsic element of poetry dan identify the character value of poetry in thematic books grade 4th elementary school Curriculum 2013. This research employed qualitative method using content analysis research design. The data sources is used the elementary Thematic’s Book 4th Grade theme 6 “Cita–Citaku” with total of 11 poetry texts. The instrumen is used intrinsic poetry analysis guidelines table, poetry intrinsic observational data table, character value analysis guidelines table, and character value observational data table in accordance with the Strengthening Character Education indicators. The results showed that poetry in the thematic books grade 4th theme 6 “Cita–Citaku” containing intrinsic elements which is simple in terms of structure and language so that is relevant with characteristics of elementary school students and contains the character value in the Strengthening Character Education indicators. Intrinsic elements of poetry examined in this study include themes, mandates, diction, rhymes, and imagery. Furthermore, the character values found in poetry there are religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity with 14 sub-values of all 20 sub-values in Strengthening Character Education. They are 6 sub-values not contained in poetry, among athers tolerance sub-values, creative sub-values, discipline sub-values, cooperation sub-values, kinship sub-values, and love for truth sub-values.
