Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan di SMPN 43 Bandung mengenai kurangnya kepedulian dan kesadaran peserta didik kelas VIII terhadap kebersihan lingkungan. Hal tersebut dilihat dari kondisi kelas yang kotor serta kebiasaan peserta didik yang masih membuang sampah sembarangan. Adapun salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan karakter green hevaiour peserta didik yakni dengan mengimplementasikan ecoliteracy dalam pembelajaran. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk Untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana peran Guru IPS dapat menumbuhkan karakter green behaviour peserta didik melalui implementasi materi Ecoliteracy dalam pembelajaran IPS, Mendeskripsikan gambaran mengenai karakter green behaviour peserta didik SMPN 43 Bandung dalam menjaga lingkungan sekolah, Menganalisis keterkaitan peran Guru IPS dalam mengimplementasikan materi Ecoliteracy pada Pembelajaran IPS terhadap peningkatan karakter green behaviour peserta didik SMPN 43 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah Kuantitatif Korelasi, dengan subjek penelitian Peserta didik kelas 8 di SMPN 43 Bandung. Pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket tertutup dengan jumlah 30 butir soal yang diberikan secara online melalui google form. Setelah data terkumpul kemudian diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 23. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut diketahui bahwa hubungan antara peran guru IPS dalam mengimplementasikan materi ecoliteracy pada pembelajaran IPS terhadap peningkatan karakter green behavior peserta didik kelas VIII di SMPN 43 Bandung berkisar 41,5%. Selain itu, dapat dilihat pula peran Guru IPS dalam mengimpelentasikan ecoliteracy dan karakter green behaviour peserta didik kelas 8 di SMPN 43 Bandung tersebut terbilang cukup baik. This research was motivated by the problems found at SMPN 43 Bandung regarding the lack of concern and awareness of class VIII students towards environmental cleanliness. This can be seen from the dirty class conditions and the habits of students who still littering. One of the efforts that can be made to improve the green character of students is by implementing ecoliteracy in learning. This research was conducted to describe the extent to which the role of social studies teachers can foster the character of green behaviour of students through the implementation of Ecoliteracy material in social studies learning, to describe the green behaviour character of students at SMPN 43 Bandung in maintaining the school environment, Analyze the relationship between the role of social studies teachers in implementing the material Ecoliteracy in social studies learning towards increasing the green behaviour character of students at SMPN 43 Bandung. The method used is a quantitative correlation, with the research subject of grade 8 students at SMPN 43 Bandung. Data collection was carried out using a closed questionnaire with a total of 30 items given online via a google form. After the data was collected, it was processed using the SPSS 23 application. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the relationship between the role of social studies teachers in implementing ecoliteracy material in social studies learning to the enhancement of the green behaviour character of class VIII students at SMPN 43 Bandung was around 41.5%. Besides, it can also be seen that the role of the social studies teacher in implementing ecoliteracy and green behaviour character of 8th graders at SMPN 43 Bandung is quite good.
