Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya keingintahuan peneliti terhadap keefektifan teknik Clustering dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi berbantuan media audiovisual. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) Bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Bandung dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi sebelum diterapkan teknik Clustering berbantuan media audiovisual? (2) Bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Bandung dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi sesudah diterapkan teknik Clustering berbantuan media audiovisual? (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Bandung sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan teknik Clustering berbantuan media audiovisual? Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 12 Bandung, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah satu kelas, yakni kelas XI MIPA 4 yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, nilai rata-rata prates siswa 73,6 sedangkan nilai rata-rata pascates siswa adalah 84,2. Berdasarkan penghitungan uji hipotesis, hasil nilai signifikansinya menunjukkan 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa teknik Clustering berbantuan media audiovisual efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Kata kunci: Menulis Teks Eksplanasi, Teknik Clustering, Media Audiovisual This research was motivated by the researcher's curiosity about the effectiveness of the clustering technique in learning to write explanation text assisted by audiovisual media. There was formula even problem in observational it, which is: (1) How does students ability of class XI of SMAN 12 Bandung in learning to write explanation text before applied the Clustering technique assisted by audiovisual media? (2) How does students ability of class XI of SMAN 12 Bandung in learning to write explanation text after applied the Clustering technique assisted by audiovisual media? (3) Is there a significant difference in the students ability to write explanation text of class XI of SMAN 12 Bandung before and after the applied of clustering technique assisted by audiovisual media? The population in this research was a students of class XI of SMAN 12 Bandung, while the sample used in this research was one class, namely class XI MIPA 4 totaling 36 students. This research used a quasi-experimental research method with a one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the data obtained, the mean score of the students pre-test was 73,6 while the students average score for the post-test was 84,2. Based on the calculation of the hypothesis test, the results of the significance value show 0,000 was smaller than 0,05. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This research proves that the clustering technique assisted by audiovisual media is effective in learning to write explanation text.
