Abstract

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa saat
menulis cerpen. Dalam kegiatan menulis, imajinasi sangat dibutuhkan untuk
mengungkapkan ide cerita. Penelitian ini mengujicobakan metode pengaliran imaji yang
berbantuan media podcast dari aplikasi spotify.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode
eksperimen untuk melihat kemampuan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dalam
pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas kelas kontrol
berjumlah 33 siswa dan kelas eksperimen berjumlah 34 siswa.Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen dengan
menggunakan metode pengaliran imaji berbantuan media podcast spotify adalah 74 dengan
kategori baik sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen sebelum
menggunakan metode pengaliran imaji adalah 64 dengan kategori kurang. Hasil
perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh ttabel sebesar 1,669 yang dikonsultasikan dengan tabel t
pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan df sebesar 65 sedangkan thitung sebesar 8,981. Hal tersebut
berarti, thitung yang diperoleh lebih besar daripada ttabel yaitu 8,981>1,669. Dengan
demikian, Ha diterima. Ha tersebut menunjukan metode pengaliran imaji berbantuan media
podcast spotify dinyatakan berhasil karena terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada
kemampuan menulis cerpen di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol.

ABSTRACK
This research is motivated by the various difficulties experienced by students in writing
short stories. In writing activities, imagination is needed to express story ideas. This study
tried out the image streaming method with the help of podcast media fromSpotify
application. This study used an experimental method to see the ability between the control
class and the experimental class in short story writing learning. The sample in this study
consisted of a control class with 33 students and an experimental class with 34 students.
The results showed that the average score of students’ ability in writing short stories using
the image streaming method with the help of Spotify podcast media was 74 which fell into
the good category, while the average score of students' ability in writing short stories before
using the image streaming method was 64 with the poor category. The results of the
calculation of the hypothesis test obtained ttableof 1.669 consulted with table t at a
significance level of 5% and df of 65, while tcount was 8.981. This means, the tcount
obtained is greater than the ttable, which is 8.981> 1.669. Thus, Ha was accepted. This
shows that the method of streaming images with the help of Spotify podcast media is
successful because there is a significant difference in the ability of writing short stories in
the experimental class and in the control class.
