Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan keterampilan menyimak yang masih sering terabaikan oleh guru karena guru cenderung beranggapan bahwa tanpa diajarkan pun keterampilan menyimak dapat dilakukan oleh siswa. Berdasarkan kenyataan di lapangan, kemampuan menyimak siswa masih kurang, karena ditemukannya siswa yang kurang percaya diri ketika mengungkapkan kembali materi yang dijelaskan oleh guru, kurangnya keaktifan dan motivasi siswa dalam menyimak, serta kosakata yang digunakan kurang jelas ketika menjelaskan kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menyimak cerita fiksi di kelas IV. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode Kajian Pustaka (literature review) yang bertujuan untuk mendalami, mencermati, menelaah, dan mengidentifikasi pandangan terhadap penelitian-penelitian yang relevan dengan penelitian yang akan dilakukan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan aktivitas siswa dalam menyimak cerita fiksi di kelas IV, baik menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) maupun metode Eksperimen. Penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dapat juga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa karena dengan penggunaan sebuah model pembelajaran membuat siswa lebih aktif, bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, dan melatih kerjasama. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan kemampuan menyimak cerita fiksi di kelas IV. This research is motivated by the problem of listening skills that are still often overlooked by the teacher because teachers tend to assume that without even being taught listening skills can be done by students. Based on the reality in the field, the ability to listen to students is still lacking, due to the discovery of students who lack confidence when revealing material described by the teacher, lack of student activity and motivation in listening, and the vocabulary used is less clear when explaining again. This study aims to determine whether the application of the Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Learning model can improve students' skills in listening to fiction in class IV. This research is a qualitative research. The method used is the method of literature review which aims to explore, examine, examine, and identify views of research that is relevant to the research to be conducted. Data collection techniques used are literature and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Learning model can improve students' skills and activities in listening to fiction in class IV, both using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method and the Experiment method. The use of the cooperative learning model of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) technique can also increase student activity because the use of a learning model makes students more active, eager to participate in learning, and practice collaboration. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model can increase student activity and the ability to listen to fiction in class IV.
