Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan kurangnya kemampuan kreativitas anak usia dini. kreativitas adalah salah satu potensi yang perlu dimiliki anak usia dini yang penting untuk dikembangkan. Kreativitas dapat dikembangkan melalui metode pembelajaran. Penerapan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah metode bercerita menggunakan buku cerita bergambar. Cerita bergambar merupakan salah satu sarana untuk mengembangkan kreativitas anak, karena dengan mendengarkan cerita imajinasi dan fantasi anak dapat terasah. Disamping itu melalui cerita bergambar anak memperoleh kosa kata yang lebih banyak. Perolehan kosa kata tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan anak untuk mengembangkan imajinasi dari cerita yang mereka dengar, sehingga dari situlah anak melahirkan suatu karya cerita yang alami. Dari proses itulah akan muncul kepercayaan diri anak karena sebuah karya memerlukan tempat untuk diekspresikan dan hanya anak-anak yang kreatif yang mampu dan berani mengekspresikan. Dan dari itulah nantinya kreativitas anak akan tumbuh dan berkembang serta meningkat dengan sendirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi objektif tingkat kreativitas anak, mengetahui penerapan metode bercerita menggunakan buku cerita bergambar upaya meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik, dan mengetahui peningkatan pada kreativitas peserta didik setelah melalui penerapan metode bercerita menggunakan buku cerita bergambar. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah single subject research dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. intrumen yang gunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, kreativitas peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari setiap fase. This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of creativity ability of early childhood. creativity is one of the potentials that early childhood needs to have which is important to be developed. Creativity can be developed through learning methods. The application of the learning method used is the storytelling method using picture story books. Picture stories are a means of developing children's creativity, because listening to stories of children's imaginations and fantasies can be honed. Besides that, through picture stories, children get more vocabulary. The acquisition of these vocabulary words can be used by children to develop the imagination of the stories they make, so that from there the children give birth to a natural story. From that process, children's self-confidence will emerge because a work needs a place to be expressed and only creative children are able and courageous to express it. And from that, children's creativity will grow and develop and increase by itself. This study aims to determine the objective conditions of children's creativity level, to determine the application of the storytelling method using picture story books to increase the creativity of students, and to determine the increase in students' creativity after going through the application of the storytelling method using picture story books. The research method used is single subject research with research design A-B-A. the instruments used are observation and interviews. Based on the research results obtained, the creativity of students has increased from each phase.
