Abstract

Penelitian ini dapat dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya anak dalam berkomunikasi secara verbal pada anak usia dini. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw untuk mengetahui hasil kemampuan komunikasi anak dengan menggunakan model tersebut. Selain melihat hasil peningkatan, peneliti juga melihat hasil perkembangan kemampuan komunikasi anak. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart terdiri dari empat tahapan penelitian yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, penelitian ini berlangsung hanya satu siklus dikarenakan terjadinya situasi pandemi yaitu covid19. Sebelum dilaksanakan penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan kegiatan pra penelitian, dimana dalam pra penelitian ini menggunakan teknin observasi dan wawancara kepada guru agar dapat mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi anak saat pra penelitian, hasil dari pra penelitian kemampuan komunikasi anak berada pada kriteria Mulai Berkembang (MB) dengan jumlah anak 12 dan 4 anak berada pada kriteria Belum Berkembang (BB). Setelah mengetahui hasil dari pra penelitian, peneliti melanjutkan penelitian pada siklus I dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi anak. Hasil dari penelitian siklus I menggunakan model pembelajaran tersebut mengalami peningkatan dimana anak berada pada kritea Mulai Berkembang 5 anak, Berkembang Sesuai Harapan 9 anak, dan Berkembang Sangat Baik 2 anak. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan adanya peningkatan perkembangan kemampuan komunikasi anak pada siklus I menggunakan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw. Sehingga dapat disimpulakan bahwa model Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi anak sangat efektif dan menyenangkan bagi pembelajaran Anak Usia Dini. Kata Kunci : Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw, Anak Usia Dini, Kemampuan Komunikasi This research can be motivated by the lack of children in communicating verbally in early childhood. The purpose of conducting research using the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model is to determine the results of children's communication skills using this model. In addition to seeing the results of the improvement, researchers also saw the results of the development of children's communication skills. The research used was PTK (Classroom Action Research) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of four stages of research, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection, this research lasted only one cycle due to a pandemic situation, namely Covid19. Before this research was carried out, the researcher carried out pre-research activities, where in this pre-research using observation and interview techniques to the teacher in order to find out the child's communication skills during the pre-research, the results of the pre-research children's communication skills were in the criteria of starting to develop (MB) with the number of 12 and 4 children are in the Underdeveloped (BB) criteria. After knowing the results of the pre-research, researchers continued the research in cycle I using the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model to develop children's communication skills. The results of the first cycle research using the learning model have increased where the children are in the starting development criteria for 5 children, developing according to the expectations of 9 children, and developing very well for 2 children. The results of this study indicate an increase in the development of children's communication skills in the first cycle using the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model. So it can be concluded that the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model for developing children's communication skills is very effective and fun for Early Childhood learning.
