Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang keterampilan berbicara siswa di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui keterampilan berbicara siswa (2) mengetahui fakto-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa (3) solusi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi kesulitan berbicara siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena perlu adanya analisis secara mendalam tentang kesulitan siswa yaitu kesulitan dalam keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas V di SDN Pangulah Selatan II. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Pangulah Selatan II yang mempunyai kesulitan dalam keterampilan berbicara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes lisan dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yaitu menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN Pangulah Selatan II masih kurang (2) faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa yaitu faktor keluarga, faktor individual dan faktor lingkungan (3) solusi yang dapat diterapkan dalam mengatasi sulitnya dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa yaitu dengan memperbaiki setiap faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa dimulai dari dalam diri siswa untuk terus berani dan percaya diri dan menuju hal yang berada di luar diri siswa seperti seorang guru harus menerapkan metode, model, dan strategi dalam pembelajaran, kemudian memberikan motivasi agar seimbang This research discussed students’ speaking skills at class V of Primary School. The aims of this research were (1) to know students’ speaking skills (2) to know the factors that cause the difficulties in students’ speaking skills (3) to provide the solution that can be applied to overcome students’ speaking difficulties. This research was conducted because there was a need for an in-depth analysis of the difficulties of students in speaking skills at class V in SDN Pangulah Selatan II. The research design was qualitative that used the case study method. The subjects of this research were fifth-grade students of SDN Pangulah Selatan II who had the difficulties in speaking skills. The techniques of collecting data in this study were oral test and interview. The techniques of data analysis were data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study were (1) the students’ speaking skills in fifth grade at SDN Pangulah II were still inadequate (2) the factors that cause difficulties in students' speaking skills were family factors, individual factors and environmental factors (3) A solution that can be applied in overcoming difficulties in students’ speaking skills was to improve each of the factors that cause difficulties in students' speaking skills. It started from within the students to be brave and be confident towards things that exist outside the students such as a teacher must apply methods, models, and strategies in learning, then provide motivation to be balanced.
