Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman matematis pada siswa selalu menjadi masalah dan terus dicari solusinya. Beberapa pendekatan dengan berbagai variasi telah dihasilkan dengan berbagai kekurangan serta kelebihannya. Maka salah satunya peneliti mengembangkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPAQu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengujicobakan langkah-langkah Pendekatan CPAQu terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SD. Pendekatan CPAQu adalah pendekatan pembelajaran dengan menggabungkan dua pendekatan pembelajaran yaitu CPA dan model inquiry, pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPAQu memberikan interaksi antara benda konkrit dengan representasi gambar-gambar, siswa mencari dan menemukan jawaban sendiri sehingga hasil atau konsep yang diperoleh akan setia dan tahan lama dalam ingatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental one grup design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri di kecamatan Cikalongwetan. Intrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes tulis, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriftif dan inferensial, uji N-Gain, dan uji Regresi linear menunjukan adanya peningkatan dan kemampuan pemahaman matematis subyek penelitian yang berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai N-Gain 0,67. Hasil uji regresi menunjukan jika pendekatan CPAQu memberikan pengaruh sebesar 37,9%. Dengan dilakukannya penelitian ini, pendekatan CPAQu dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman Matematis siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV. The lack of mathematical understanding of students is always a problem and solutions are constantly sought. Several approaches with various variations have been produced with various advantages and disadvantages. So one of them researchers developed learning with the CPAQu approach. The purpose of this study was to try out the steps of the CPAQu Approach to the mathematical understanding abilities of elementary students. The CPAQu approach is a learning approach by combining two learning approaches namely CPA and inquiry models, learning with the CPAQu approach provides interaction between concrete objects and the representation of images, students seek and find their own answers so that the results or concepts obtained will be faithful and long-lasting in memory . The research method used in this study was pre-experimental one group design. The research subjects were grade IV students of the Elementary School in Cikalongwetan sub-district. The instruments used were written test, interview and observation. Based on the results of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, N-Gain test, and linear regression test showed an increase and mathematical understanding ability of research subjects who are in the medium category with an N-Gain value of 0.67. Regression test results indicate if the CPAQu approach gives an effect of 37.9%. By doing this research, the CPAQu approach can be applied to improve Mathematical comprehension skills of grade IV elementary school students.
