Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terutama soal cerita pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari hasil Model pembelajaran CORE untuk meningkatkan kemampaun berpikir kritis matematis siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat pencapaian dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pre Eksperimental. Materi pokok yang diambil dalam penelitian adalah Pecahan siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dengan menggunakan tes, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 28,7% dan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran CORE berpengaruh terhadap berpikir kritis matematis siswa dan terdapat peningkatan yang cukup baik pada sampel yang diteliti. Dengan dilakukannya penelitian ini, model pembelajaran CORE dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. This research was motivated by the lack of students' critical thinking skills, especially story problems in mathematics learning. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the results of the CORE learning model to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills in elementary schools. This study also aims to see the achievement in students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The research used was Pre Experimental. The main material taken in the study is the fraction of grade V elementary school students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. By using tests, observation and interviews. The results obtained were that there was an effect of the CORE learning model on students 'critical thinking abilities by 28.7% and there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills using the CORE learning model. So it can be concluded that the CORE learning model affects students' mathematical critical thinking and there is a fairly good increase in the sample studied. By doing this research, the CORE learning model can be applied to improve the critical thinking skills of grade V elementary school students.
