Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan komunikasi siswa kelas V disalah satu desa di Kecamatan Panguragan Kabupaten Cirebon. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti mencoba menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulus dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi yaitu dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keterampilan komunikasi siswa kelas V sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap Keterampilan Komunikasi Siswa kelas V. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode eksperimen dengan subjek tunggal atau Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah empat yaitu HTV, MK, RP, dan AR. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dan disajikan dengan tabel dan grafik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan penelitian ini, model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi siswa pada subjek HTV, MK, RP, dan AR. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model model Problem Based Learning (PBL) mempengaruhi aktivitas siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan presentase aktivitas siswa yang menunjukkan peningkatan pada tiap sesi intervensi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) mampu meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa pada subjek HTV, MK, RP, dan AR. This research was motivated by the low level of communication skills of fifth grade students in a village in Panguragan Sub District, Cirebon Regency. To solve this problem, the researcher tries to apply a learning model that can stimulate and improve communication skills by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication skills of class V students before and after using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on communication skills of class V students. The research method used was the experimental method with a single subject. or Single Subject Research (SSR) AB design. The subjects used in this study were four, namely HTV, MK, RP, and AR. Data collection carried out in this study using two data collection techniques, namely observation and tests. The data obtained were analyzed and presented with tables and graphs. Based on the results of research and discussion of this study, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can have an influence on improving student communication skills on the subject of HTV, MK, RP, and AR. The results also show that learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model affects student activity. This is indicated by the percentage of student activity which shows an increase in each intervention session. So it can be concluded that learning with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is able to improve student communication skills on the subject of HTV, MK, RP, and AR.
