Abstract

Imajinasi merupakan suatu hal yang penting dalam proses perkembangan otak anak yang sering terabaikan oleh banyak orang. Penelitian ini didasari oleh sebuah persoalan yang jarang diperhatikan yaitu tentang kebebasan siswa dalam menuangkan imajinasinya di dalam kelas. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai bentuk usaha untuk memberikan kesempatan lebih untuk siswa agar lebih bebas dalam menuangkan imajinasinya ketika berada dalam proses pembelajaran. Bebas yang dimaksud di sini adalah siswa dapat mengekspresikan apa yang mereka pikirkan lalu mereka tuangkan menggunakan media plastisin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Narrative Inquiry untuk mempermudah pembaca dalam menggambarkan situasi dan hasil dari penelitian berbentuk narasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas 5 A SD Negeri Serang 20 kota Serang yang memiliki jumlah 31 siswa. Hasil temuan yang diperoleh dari penelitian berdasarkan pengalaman siswa ini adalah 1) siswa dapat berkreativitas bebas menuangkan imajinasinya di kelas; 2) siswa dapat mengembangkan imajinasinya dalam konsep gaya; 3) konsep gaya dapat diterapkan menggunakan plastisin. Peneliti yang berperan sebagai guru, pada prosesnya belajar banyak hal dari siswa tentang bagaimana imajinasi siswa merupakan hal yang sangat menarik untuk diteliti, juga yang paling penting adalah seorang guru harus memberikan ruang untuk siswa berekspresi dalam proses pembelajaran. Imagination is an important thing in the process of brain development of children which is often overlooked by many people. This research is based on a problem that is rarely considered, namely about the freedom of students in expressing their imagination in the classroom. Therefore this research aims as a form of effort to provide more opportunities for students to be more free in pouring their imagination when in the learning process. What is meant here is that students can express what they think then they pour it using plasticine media. This research uses the Narrative Inquiry method to facilitate the reader in describing the situation and the results of the research in the form of narrative. This research was conducted in grade 5th A of SD Negeri Serang 20 in Serang city which had a total of 31 students. The findings obtained from research based on the experience of these students are 1) students can create creativity freely pouring their imagination in class; 2) students can develop their imagination in the concept of force; 3) the concept of force can be applied using plasticine. Researchers who act as teachers, in the process of learning many things from students about how the imagination of students is a very interesting thing to be studied, also the most important thing is a teacher must provide space for students' expression in the learning process.
