Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya kinerja guru. Faktanya untuk meningkatkan kinerja dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah komunikasi interpersonal. Tujuan peneliti melaksanakan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. Variabel yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi interpersonal dan kinerja guru. Dalam pelaksanaannya peneliti menggunakan metode Survey Eksplanatory, yang mana data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket model likert scale yang peneliti berikan kepada 72 guru. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Perilaku Organisasi Luthans dan Gibson et al. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil temuan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar nol koma empat ratus enam puluh enam dengan koefisien determinasi dua puluh satu koma tujuh puluh persen. Jika komunikasi interpersonal meningkat, maka kinerja pun akan meningkat. Meskipun demikian kinerja guru tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh komunikasi interpersonal saja, tentunya ada faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru dapat meningkatkan intensitas komunikasi interpersonal agar kinerja guru dapat tercapai secara optimal. The problem examined in this study is that teacher performance is not optimal yet. The fact to improve performance can be impacted by several factors, one of which is interpersonal communication. The purpose of researchers conducting this study to knowing how the impact of interpersonal communication on teacher performance in SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. The variables examined in this study was interpersonal communication and teacher performance. In its implementation the researchers used Survey Eksplanatory method, in which data was collected using a Likert scale model questionnaire that researchers gave to 72 teachers. The theory used is the theory of Organizational Behavior Luthans and Gibson et al. The analysis technique used is simple regression analysis. The findings show a positive and significant effect of interpersonal communication on performance both partially and simultaneously. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient of zero point four hundred sixty six with a coefficient of determination of twenty one point seventy percent. If interpersonal communication increases, the performance will increase also. Even so the teacher's performance is not only impacted by interpersonal communication, of course there are other factors that affect the performance of teachers in SMK Negeri 1 Bandung that are not examined in this study. Therefore, this study suggests that teachers can increase the intensity of interpersonal communication so that teacher performance can be achieved optimally.
