Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran bahasa, peserta didik dituntut untuk menguasai empat keterampilan dasar yaitu, mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca dan menulis. Keempat keterampilan tersebut dapat dikuasai, apabila pembendaharaan kata dari bahasa tersebut baik. Berdasarkan pengalaman peneliti ketika pembelajaran Schreiben, peneliti mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis. Hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh kurangnya penguasaan kosakata. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang hubungan penguasaan kosakata dengan kemampuan menulis deskripsi bahasa Jerman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan penguasaan kosakata peserta didik, (2) kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis, (3) hubungan antara penguasaan kosakata dengan kemampuan menulis deskripsi bahasa Jerman, (4) kontribusi penguasaan kosakata terhadap kemampuan menulis peserta didik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA PGII 1 Bandung dan Sampelnya merupakan peserta didik kelas XI Lintas Minat sebanyak 26 orang. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes penguasaan kosakata dan tes kemampuan menulis deskripsi berbahasa Jerman. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi dan analisis regresi. Setelah data dianalisis diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: (1) nilai rata-rata penguasaan kosakata adalah 82.23 dan termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”. (2) nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis adalah 77.59 dan termasuk dalam kategori “baik”. (3) nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.93 menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara penguasaan kosakata dan kemampuan menulis. (4) kontribusi variabel X terhadap variabel Y 86%. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa penguasaan kosakata memberikan kontribusi yang positif terhadap kemampuan menulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar peserta didik memperbanyak pembendaharaan kosakata, agar lebih baik dalam keterampilan menulis; In learning language, students are required to master four basic skills, namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing. These four skills can be mastered, if the vocabulary of the language is good. Based on the experience of researchers when attending Schreiben lectures, researchers experienced difficulties in writing. This was allegedly caused by the low vocabulary mastery. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research on the relation of mastering vocabulary with the ability of writy description in german language. This study aims to determine: (1) students ability in mastering vocabulary, (2) students ability of writy description in german language, (3) the relationship between mastering vocabulary with the ability of writy description in german language, (4) contribution of mastering vocabulary to the ability of writy description in german language. The population in this study were all students class XI at SMA PGII 1 Bandung and the samples were students of class XI Lintas Minat as many as 26 people. The data of this study were obtained from the vocabulary mastery test and the ability to write the German language description. In this study descriptive analytic method was used by using correlation analysis and regression analysis. After the data is analyzed, the following results are obtained: (1) the average value of vocabulary mastery is 82.23 and is included in the “very good” category, (2) the average value of writing ability is 77.59 and is included “good” category, (3) correlation coefficient value of 0.93 indicates a relations between mastering vocabulary and writing ability, (4) the contribution of variable X to variable Y is 86%. This explained that mastering vocabulary contributes positively to writing ability. Based on the results of this study it is suggested that students should increase vocabulary, so that they would better at writing skills.
