Abstract

Harapan belajar merupakan proses berfikir kognitif peserta didik dalam memenuhi suatu tujuan yang disertai dengan motivasi dan kemampuan menghasilkan alternatif cara/jalan untuk mencapai suatu tujuan belajar. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan harapan belajar peserta didik adalah dengan menyelenggarakan layanan bimbingan belajar. Layanan bimbingan belajar merupakan proses bantuan kepada peserta didik agar dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapinya khususnya dalam bidang belajar, sehingga setelah mendapat layanan bimbingan peserta didik dapat mencapai prestasi belajar optimal sesuai dengan potensi yang dimiliki. Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui hubungan harapan belajar dengan prestasi belajar dan implikasinya bagi layanan bimbingan dan konseling di MAN 1 Kota Bandung. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI MAN 1 Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan: (1) harapan belajar cenderung berada dalam kategori tinggi; (2) terdapat perbedaan antara harapan belajar peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan; (3) prestasi belajar cenderung berada dalam kategori cukup; serta (4) terdapat hubungan dengan arah positif antara harapan belajar dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling serta penelitian selanjutnya Academic hope is a cognitive thinking process of students in fulfilling a goal accompanied by motivation and abilities to produce alternative ways to achieve an academic goals. The efforts can be made to increase academic hope by providing academic guidance services. Academic guidance is a process of assistance which provided towards students in order to overcome the problems they face, especially in academic area, so after academic guidance service are provided students could achieve optimal academic achievement in accordance with their potential. The research is conducted to determine the correlation of academic hope with academic achievement of the student and its implication for guidance and counseling services in MAN 1 Kota Bandung. The sample is the students of class XI MAN 1 Kota Bandung Academic Year 2018/2019. The results of this research indicated: (1) academic hope tend to be in the high category; (2) there is a difference between the academic hope of female and male students; (3) academic achievement tends to be in the sufficient category; and (4) there is a positive correlation between academic hope and academic achievement. Recommendations are given to school counselors and further research.
