Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya literasi siswa (terutama apresiasi sastra) dan literasi ekologis (ecological literacy atau eco-literacy) atau kepekaan siswa terhadap permasalahan-permasalahan lingkungan (sampah, banjir, polusi). Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran ekologisnya adalah melalui buku sastra anak. Buku sastra anak berbasis ekoliterasi dapat dijadikan sebagai buku penunjang pembelajaran, media sekaligus sumber pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui desain model buku sastra anak berbasis ekoliterasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar, berikut karakteristiknya, proses pengembangannya dan respin terhadap rancangan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, sehingga metode yang digunakannya adalah Educational Design Research (EDR). Penelitian ini melibatkan dosen, praktisi/ahli, dan guru SD. Buku sastra anak yang dikembangkan memuat materi Bahasa Indonesia, IPA, IPS kelas IV dengan tema tiga “Peduli Terhadap Makhluk Hidup”, ditambah dengan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) mata pelajaran Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (PLH) dan kompetensi ekoliterasi (Head, Heart, Hands, dan Spirit). Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang digunakan adalah kompetensi pada kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 1) model buku sastra anak berbasis ekoliterasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar (dengan judul buku “Misteri Hilangnya Seorang Teman”, dan “Misteri Si Kupu-Kupu”), 2) Karakteristik buku yakni prinsip desain buku temasuk prosedur pengembangan, dan 3) respon positif guru dan ahli terhadap buku sastra anak berbasis ekoliterasi. Kesimpulannya, buku sastra anak berbasis ekoliterasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar ini, layak dijadikan buku penunjang, media, dan sumber pembelajaran tema tiga di kelas IV sekolah dasar. This research is educational design research which motivated by student’s low literacy (especially literary appreciation) and ecological literacy (ecological literacy or eco-literacy) or student sensitivity to environmental problems (garbage, floods, pollution). One way to improve student literacy while increasing ecological awareness is through children's literature. Ecoliteration-based children's literature books can be used as learning support books, media as well as sources of learning Indonesian in elementary schools. This study aims to determine the design of ecoliteration-based children's literature models for elementary school students, along with their characteristics, development process and response to the design. This research is a development research, so the method used is Educational Design Research (EDR). This research involved lecturers, practitioners / experts, and elementary teachers. The children's literature book developed includes material in Indonesian Language, Science, Social Sciences class IV with the theme of three "Caring for Sentient Beings", coupled with Basic Competencies in the subject of Environmental Education and Ecoliteration competencies (Head, Heart, Hands, and Spirit). Basic competencies used are competencies in the 2013 curriculum. This study produced 1) ecoliteration-based children's literature book models for elementary school students (with the title of the book "The Mystery of the Loss of a Friend", and "The Mystery of the Butterfly"), 2) Characteristics of books namely the principle of book design including development procedures, and 3) positive responses from teachers and experts on ecoliteration-based children's literature. In conclusion, ecoliteration-based children's literature for elementary school students deserves to be used as a supporting book, media, and a source of learning for the three themes in grade IV of elementary school.
