Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesulitan proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Simulasi dan Komunikasi Digital, khususnya pada kelompok materi visualisasi konsep dikarenakan keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang ada. Untuk mencapai pemahaman siswa terhadap suatu materi tentu tidak cukup hanya dengan mendengar dan melihat. Karenanya, solusi berupa media menggunakan pendekatan simulasi dengan model Discovery Learning dipilih agar dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih memahami pelajaran dengan menekankan pembelajaran hands-on experience dan learning by doing. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Data peningkatan pemahaman siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan 6 tahapan model Discovery Learning pada media; 2) diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman berdasarkan rata-rata nilai siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan multimedia sebesar 54,04 menjadi 78,48 dengan nilai gain sebesar 0,53; 3) diperoleh data respon siswa bahwa multimedia dinilai sangat baik dengan persentase penilaian rata-rata sebesar 96,17%.;---This research was motivated by the difficulty of the learning process in Digital Simulation and Communication subjects, especially in the concept visualization material group due to the limitations of existing learning media. To achieve student understanding of a material is certainly not enough just to hear and see. Therefore, a solution in the form of media using a simulation approach with the Discovery Learning model was chosen so that it can help students better understand the lesson by emphasizing hands-on experience learning and learning by doing. The approach used in this study used one group pretest-posttest design. Data on increasing student understanding was obtained using the pretest and posttest questions. The results of this study are 1) conducted learning by applying the 6 stages of the Discovery Learning model to the media; 2) obtained an increase in understanding based on the average value of students before and after being given treatment using multimedia amounted to 54.04 to 78.48 with a gain of 0.53; 3) data obtained from student responses that multimedia is considered very good with an average percentage of 96.17%.
