    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menulis guguritan sebelum, sesudah, dan perbedaannya dalam menggunakan model Mind Mapping. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan sumber datanya kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung yang berjumlah 26 orang. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest design.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, bahwa: (1) model Mind Mapping bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung, nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan model Mind Mapping adalah 55,15 belum mampu mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), sedangkan rata-rata sesudah menggunakan model Mind Mapping adalah 78,38 mampu mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM); (2) uji gain menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Mind Mapping, yaitu dari 55,12 menjadi 78,38 dengan béda 23,26; dan (3) dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh titung> ttabél atawa (9,65) > (2,48) artinya, hasilnya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis guguritan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Mind Mapping. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Mind Mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung taun ajaran 2017/2018.;---The background of this research by lowing of ability guguritan writing of students. The purpose are to know the ability students which show between the result of study news writing before, after, and difference in the using of Mind Mapping model.The method of this research is the experiment of quasi experimental with using the approach kuantitatif and datasource students class VIII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung which amount 26 students. The technique used to collect the data in this study is the test. This research used one group pretest posttest design. Based on this research: (1) Mind Mapping model can increase the ability guguritan writing, before using Mind Mapping model was 55,15 which means under the KKM standard. After using Mind Mapping model, the level was increased 78,38 which means it was above the KKM; (2) increating of gain result test showed that significant the differences between ability before and after used Mind Mapping model is increased from 55,12 to78,38 and the diference is 23,26; and (3) from hypothesis result test is getting titung>ttabélor (9,65) > (2,48) that is, a result there are significant differences between the ability to write guguritan before and after using the model Mind Mapping. The conclusion that Mind Mapping model can used to increased the ability of guguritan writing students class VII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung academic year 2017/2018.
