Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya kasus-kasus yang diberitakan mengenai keterlibatan anak sebagai pelaku dalam kasus kekerasan, pelecehan, bullying, dan juga adanya trend-trend kekinian yang semakin mengikis moral anak bangsa. Pendidikan karakter pada anak usia dini merupakan upaya pencegahan tindakan amoral. Sekolah memiliki peran yang besar dalam mengenalkan dan menanamkan nilai-nilai pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep program Taqwa Character Building dan proses pembelajaran pendidikan karakter melalui program Taqwa Character Building pada anak usia dini. Taqwa Character Building (TCB) merupakan program pendidikan karakter islami yang diterapkan di PG-TK Darul Hikam Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah empat orang yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah dan tiga orang guru kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) program TCB mengembangkan tujuh nilai karakter yaitu ikhlas, sabar, amanah, peduli, disiplin, cerdas, dan ihsan. Tapi, untuk tahun ini ada tiga nilai karakter yang menjadi fokus untuk dikembangkan oleh PG-TK Darul Hikam yaitu santun, peduli, dan disiplin; 2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran program TCB diintegrasikan di setiap kegiatan di sekolah melalui pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Guru memadukan antara sisipan nilai-nilai karakter yang hendak dibangun dengan materi pembelajaran. Tahapan pembelajaran tersebut mengacu pada moral knowing, moral feeling, dan moral action; 3) sarana dan prasarana yang ada sudah menunjang terlaksananya program TCB; 4) hambatan yang dialami guru dalam penerapan TCB diantaranya adalah ketika anak lama tidak masuk sekolah dan membuat penilaian anak dengan objektif. Adapun solusi yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan secara personal untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai yang sudah diajarkan di hari sebelumnya dan kecermatan guru yang perlu ditingkatkan untuk mengobservasi anak setiap waktu dalam beraktivitas. Kata Kunci: Taqwa Character Building, Anak Usia Dini ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROGRAM OF TAQWA CHARACTER BUILDING IN EARLY CHILDHOOD (Case Study Research in Darul Hikam Kindergarten and Pre-K Bandung) Wulan Nur Latifah 1506406 This research is motivated by the rise of cases reported about the involvement of children as subject in the cases of violence, harassment, bullying, and also the current trends that increasingly erode the morals of the nation's children. Character education in early childhood is an effort to prevent immoral acts. Schools have a big role in introducing and instilling the values of character building. This study aims to determine the concept of the Taqwa Character Building program and the learning process of character education through the Taqwa Character Building program in early childhood. Taqwa Character Building (TCB) is an Islamic character education program implemented in Darul Hikam Kindegarten and Pre-K Bandung. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Participants in this study amounted to four people consisting of the principal and three class teachers. Data collection techniques are using observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) the TCB program developed seven character values, namely sincere, patient, trustworthy, caring, disciplined, intelligent, and ihsan. But, for this year there are three character values that are the focus to be developed by Darul Hikam's Kindergarten and Pre-K which are polite, caring, and disciplined; 2) TCB program learning implementation is integrated in every activity in the school through habituation and exemplary. The teacher combined the insertion of character values to be built with learning material. The stages of learning refer to moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action; 3) existing facilities and infrastructure support the implementation of the TCB program; 4) the obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing TCB include when old children do not attend school and make an objective assessment of children. The solution taken is a personal approach to developing the values that have been taught on the previous day and the accuracy of the teacher that needs to be improved to observe the child at all times in their activities.
