Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik dan kurangnya kemampuan pendidik untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model active learning tipe quiz team terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 45 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah “time series design” dengan pola “sebelum” dan “sesudah” yang masing-masing dilakukan sebanyak empat kali serta hanya menerapkan treatment pada satu kelas saja yaitu kelas VIII-D. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel bertujuan. Teknik pengumpulan data motivasi belajar peserta didik yaitu dengan menggunakan angket, observasi dan studi dokementasi. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan analisis secara kuantitatif melalui uji hipotesis dan uji-t. Diperoleh hasil analisis pada pengukuran pertama, kedua, ketiga dan keempat sebelum diberikan treatment menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan dalam motivasi belajar. Pada hasil analisis pengukuran pertama, kedua, ketiga dan keempat sesudah diberikan treatment menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan dalam motivasi belajar. Setelah melihat perbedaan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan treatment dengan pengukuran total sebanyak delapan kali, diperoleh hasil terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan di antara keduanya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model active learning tipe quiz team dapat berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Model Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team, Pembelajaran IPS.-----This research is motivated by the low student’s learning motivation and lack of teachers’s ability to development learning models in social studies learning. This study aimed to examine the effect of active learning model of the quiz team type on student’s learning motivation in social studies learning at 45 Junior High School Bandung. This research used quasi experimental method within "time series design" research design with pattern "before" and "after" that were done four times and only applied treatment to one class, which was class VIII-D. The sample technique used in this research was purposive sample technique. The data collection of student learning motivation used a questionnaire, observation, and documentation studies. After the data were collected, then the researcher conducted a quantitative analysis through hypothesis test and t-test. The result obtained from the analysis of the first to fourth measurements before treatment showed no differences in learning motivation. The results of the analysis of the first to fourth measurements after treatment showed there were differences in learning motivation. After seeing the difference between before and after treatment with a total measurements that were done eight times, the results showed that there were significant differences between the two. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of active learning model of the quiz team type can affect the student’s learning motivation in social studies learning.
