Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan di lapangan terkait perilaku agresif yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik dengan hambatan MDVI kelas II SD berinisial MMS di SLBN A Kota Bandung. Perilaku agresif yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik seperti berperilaku agresif verbal, yaitu berteriak, marah-marah, dan berperilaku agresif non verbal atau fisik, yaitu melempar benda, memukul. Perilaku-perilaku tersebut sering dilakukan oleh peserta didik ketika proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas, sehingga dapat mengganggu keberlangsungan pembelajaran, maka untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif yang sering dilakukan oleh peserta didik, peneliti menerapkan teknik time out dengan jenis nonexclusionary time out. Teknik ini dilakukan dengan cara apabila peserta didik berperilaku agresif di dalam kelas, maka ia akan tetap berada di dalam kelasnya dengan memindahkan posisi dirinya ke tempat time out yang telah disediakan di sudut ruangan untuk waktu yang singkat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi perilaku agresif yang muncul pada peserta didik MDVI kelas II SD di SLBN A Kota Bandung mengalami penurunan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perolehan jumlah rata-rata (mean) setiap kondisi mengalami penurunan dalam segi berkurangnya frekuensi kemunculan perilaku agresif pada peserta didik yang sangat signifikan, yaitu pada kondisi A-1 (baseline-1), yaitu 36,33, kondisi B (intervensi), yaitu 11, dan kondisi A-2 (baseline-2), yaitu 4. Jadi, peneliti menarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan teknik time out dalam penelitian ini dapat memberikan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif peserta didik MDVI kelas II SD di SLBN A Kota Bandung;---This research is based on problem related to aggressive behaviors done by student with MDVI in second grade elementary with the initials MMS at SLBN A Kota Bandung. The aggressive behavior done by the student is verbally aggressive behaviors, those are screams, bluster also the non-verbally aggressive behaviors or physically aggressive are throwing things and hitting. Those behaviors always done by the student while in learning process in the classroom, therefore it could disturb the learning process, according to that problem, researcher trying to apply the timeouts technique with nonexclusionary timeouts type to help reducing those aggressive behaviors that always done by the student. This technique is applied in a way if the student doing the aggressive behaviors in the classroom, she will be still in a class but moving her position to the timeouts space which already is prepared in a corner of a class for the short period. This research used experimental method with Single Subject Research (SSR) and A-B-A research design. The result of this research shows that the frequency of aggressive behavior which appeared from the student had reduced. It can be seen from the proceeds of the average number (mean) from every conditions had reduced in terms of frequency that showing A-1 condition (baseline-1) is 36,33, B (intervention) is 11, and A-2 condition (baseline-2) is 4. Therefore, the researcher concluded that applying timeouts technique in this research could give the influence significantly to reduce aggressive behaviors for MDVI student in second grade elementary at SLBN A Kota Bandung.
