Abstract

PBB melalui UNESCO mencanangkan suatu pendekatan dalam pendidikan yaitu Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) atau pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pendidikan pembangunan berkelanjutan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai yang mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan dengan tujuan untuk membantu manusia belajar tentang pengetahuan yang relevan dengan nilai-nilai, mengembangkan kebiasaan dan gaya hidup yang akan menyebabkan berkelanjutan bagi seluruh masyarakat. Akan tetapi ESD belum terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dengan baik. Bahan ajar yang digunakan belum menunjang penerapan ESD. Selain itu siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal Matematika dalam bentuk algoritma atau prosedur, akan tetapi kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal cerita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendesain suatu bahan ajar yang mendukung pencapaian tujuan ESD dalam pembelajaran Matematika. Bahan ajar bisa digunakan apabila bahan ajar tersebut berkualitas. Bahan ajar dikatakan berkualitas apabila memenuhi tiga kriteria yaitu valid, praktis dan efektif. Untuk menguji kriteria ini dilakukan sebuah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian Educational Desain Research (penelitian desain pendidikan). Menurut Plomp ada tiga tahapan dalam mendesain suatu bahan ajar yaitu preliminary phase, prototyping and development phase dan assessment phase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka diperoleh informasi bahwa bahan ajar sudah memenuhi kriteria valid pada aspek kelayakan isi, keterbacaan, penyajian dan kegrafikan. Bahan ajar juga sudah memenuhi kriteri praktis pada aspek kemudahan penggunaan, kesesuaian waktu dan kebermanfaatan bahan ajar bagi siswa. Bahan ajar juga sudah memenuhi kriteri efektif yaitu bahwa bahan ajar memfasilitasi siswa untuk memahami konsep matematika.;---PBB through UNESCO launched an approach in education, namely Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Sustainable development education aims to develop values that support sustainable development with the aim of helping people learn about knowledge that is relevant to values, developing habits and lifestyles that will cause sustainability for the entire community. However, ESD has not been integrated in school learning well. The teaching materials used have not supported the application of ESD. Besides that students have been able to solve Mathematics problems in the form of algorithms or procedures, but difficulties in solving word problems. The purpose of this study is to design and develop a teaching material that supports the implementation of ESD goals in Mathematics learning. Teaching materials can be used if it has high quality. It is said to have high quality if they meet three criteria, namely valid, practical and effective. To test this criterion, a qualitative research was carried out with Educational Design Research. According to Plomp there are three stages in designing a teaching material namely preliminary research, prototyping and development phase and assessment phase. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained information that the teaching material had fulfilled valid criteria in the aspect of content feasibility, readability, presentation and graphics. Teaching materials also have met practical criteria on aspects of ease of use, timeliness and usefulness of teaching materials for students. Teaching materials have also met effective criteria, namely that teaching materials facilitate students to understand mathematical concepts.
