Abstract

Penggunaan metode pembelajaran di sekolah sangat mempengaruhi aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Menggunakan metode diskusi diharapkan dapat memberi pengaruh kepada aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Kondisi pembelajaran di kelas IPS SMAN 7 Bandung ketika guru menjelakan pembelajaran peserta didik seperti mengerti apa yang di sampaikan oleh guru namun ketika sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab tidak ada satupun yang menjawab atau mengemukakan pendapat. Dengan penggunaan metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran geografi terhadap aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola interaksi peserta didik, menganalisis sikap menerima pendapat orang lain dan menganalisis pengaruh metode diskusi terhadap aktivitas belajar peserta didik di kelas IPS. Metode yang dilakukan ialah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode ini dapat mendeskripsikan hubungan dari satu kejadian yang terjadi kemudian mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya hal tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya aktivitas pada pertemuan II dengan menggunakan metode diskusi tersebut hasil persentase pada pertemuan I terdapat hasil belajar yang meningkat dari pertemuan I ke pertemuan II dengan hasil 36% untuk persentase terbesar di pertemuan I di kelas XI IPS 2 dan hasil 78% untuk persentase terbesar di pertemuan II di kelas XI IPS 3. Kesimpulan dari penelitian dengan menggunakan metode disuksi keaktifan peserta didik meningkat dari pertemuan I ke pertemuan II. The use of learning methods in schools greatly affects the learning activities of students. Using the discussion method is expected to give effect to learning activities of students. Learning conditions in Social class at SMAN 7 Bandung when the teacher exposes the learners' such as understanding what is delivered by the teacher but during the discussion or question and answer session none one of them answered or expressed their opinions. With the use of the discussion method in geography subjects towards learning activities of students which aims to analyze the patterns of interaction learning, analyze attitudes to accept other people's opinions and analyze the effect of discussion methods on learning activities of students in social class. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method with this method can describe the relationship of an event that happend then find out what factors is. The results showed that there was activity at the second meeting using the discussion method. The percentage results at the first meeting there were learning results that improved from meeting I to the second meeting with 36% results for the largest percentage at the meeting I in class XI Social 2 and the results of 78% for the percentage the biggest in the second meeting in class XI Social 3. The conclusion of this study by using the discussion method the activeness of students increases from meeting I to meeting II
