Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan temuan yang ada dimasyarakat, bahwa terdapat informasi serta pengetahuan yang dimanipulasi. Kesadaran dan melek informasi diperlukan untuk membedakan informasi benar dan hoax, dengan menumbuhkan literasi kritis sejak anak-anak menggunakan media yang menarik. Storytelling dirasa dapat menjadi media efektif yang diselenggarakan di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Auliya Baleendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis serta menjelaskan persepsi siswa tentang kegiatan storytelling dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan literasi kritis anak, persepsi siswa tentang kegiatan storytelling di TBM Auliya, pengaruh kegiatan storytelling terhadap kemampuan literasi kritis anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, mengumpulkan data menggunakan angket dengan sampling jenuh, responden berjumlah 42 siswa kelas 3-4 yang berkunjung ke TBM Auliya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel persepsi siswa tentang kegiatan storytelling dikategorikan berpengaruh. Pengolahan data menunjukkan sebagian besar tumbuhnya literasi kritis anak karena kegiatan storytelling, sedangkan sisanya oleh media lain. Indikator variabel kegiatan storytelling menunjukkan beberapa kategori berbeda. Indikator sebelum mendongeng berlangsung dalam kategori sangat tinggi, indikator saat mendongeng berlangsung dalam kategori tinggi, dan indikator saat mendongeng selesai dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Indikator variabel literasi kritis anak memiliki kategori yang berbeda-beda. Indikator pemahaman teks secara intens dalam kategori tinggi, indikator menemukan pesan penulis dalam kategori sangat tinggi, indikator berpikir kritis dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Perhitungan korelasi menunjukan efektivitas kegiatan storytelling dan literasi kritis anak berada pada tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini menunjukan, persepsi siswa tentang kegiatan storytelling berpengaruh dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan literasi kritis anak;---The present research is carried out based on findings in the community, there is information and knowledge manipulated. Thus, there is a need for awareness and literacy of information to distinguish true information hoaxes. One way is by fostering critical literacy since children with storytelling can be an effective media held at TBM (Taman Bacaan Masyarakat-Community Reading Park) Auliya. The research objective was to analyze the student perception about storytelling activities to foster children's critical literacy, student perception about storytelling activities at TBM Auliya, the impact of storytelling activities to children's critical literacy. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods: Collecting data using questionnaires with total sampling, respondents totaling 42 TBM Auliya readers of class 3-4 at primary school. The results show that the student perception variable of storytelling activities was categorized as impact. Data processing shows most of the growth of children's critical literacy is due to storytelling activities, while the rest is by media. Variable indicators of storytelling activities show several different categories. Indicators before storytelling takes place falls into the category of very high, indicators when storytelling takes place in high categories, and indicators when storytelling takes place is in a very high category. Indicators of critical child literacy variables also have different categories. Indicators of intense text comprehension is in high category, indicators finding the author's message are in a very high category, indicators of critical thinking are in very high category. Calculation of correlation shows the student perception about storytelling activities and critical literacy of children has a high level. This study shows that, storytelling is an impact medium in fostering children's critical literacy, that children can be alleviated to have critical literacy skills.
