Abstract

Kreativitas adalah proses seorang individu untuk menjadi peka terhadap masalah, mengidentifikasi hambatan, mencari solusi, dan berhipotesis, memodifikasi, dan diakhiri mengkomunikasikan hasil kepada orang lain. Terdapat empat aspek kreativitas yaitu fluency, fleksibilty, originality, dan elaboration. Solusi untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa yakni menggunakan pendekatan Science Technology Engineering dan Mathematics. Pendekatan STEM merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menggabungkan science, technology, engineering, dan mathematics kedalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan kreativitas siswa melalui pendekatan Science Technology Engineering dan Mathematics (STEM). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SMP Negeri Kota Bandung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu One Group Pretest-Posttest Design untuk kelas VII berjumlah 32 orang siswa. Kreativitas siswa diukur menggunakan tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan membuat produk. Materi yang diajarkan pada siswa yakni materi energi. Tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif terdiri dari satu masalah mengenai pemadaman listrik di Provinsi Bengkulu. Pengolahan data untuk tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif menggunakan Normalized Gain, sehingga memperoleh hasil data yang menunjukkan peningkatan pada setiap aspek kreativitas yaitu fluency sebesar 0,79, fleksibilty sebesar 0,76, originality sebesar 0,59, dan elaboration sebesar 0.58. Pembuatan produk yang dilakukan oleh siswa berasal dari masalah penggunaan tenaga listrik di daerah Jawa. Rata-rata kreativitas produk siswa untuk membuat manfaat dari panel surya adalah fluency sebesar 2,63, fleksibilty sebesar 1,63, originality sebesar 2,88, dan elaboration sebesar 2,75. ----------- Creativity is an individual's process to be sensitive to problems, identify barriers, find solutions, and hypothesize, modify, and end up communicating results to others. There are four aspects of creativity, namely fluency, fleksibilty, originality, and elaboration. A solution to enhance the creativity of students using the approach of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. The STEM approach is a learning approach that combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into learning. Research aims to determine the enhancement of student creativity through the approach of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This research was conducted in one of the state Junior high School in Bandung. The research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design for class VII amounting to 32 students. Students ' creativity is measured using a test of creative thinking skills and making products. The material taught in the students is energy material. The test of creative thinking skills consists of a single problem regarding the power outage in Bengkulu province. Data processing for the test of creative thinking skills using normalized Gain, thus obtaining the results of data indicating an increase in every aspect of creativity i.e. the fluency of 0.79, the fleksibilty of 0.76, the originality of 0.58, and elaboration of 0.59. The manufacture of products performed by the students comes from the problem of use of manpower in Java area. The average student creativity product to mak the benefits of a solar panel is the fluency of 2,63, the flexsibilty of 1.63, the elaboration of 2.88, and the elaboration of 2.75.
