Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi kurikulum Program Studi Sastra Jepang dengan tuntutan dunia kerja. Terdapat empat kategori bidang pekerjaan yang diukur, yaitu komunikator, instruktur, administrator dan manajer. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner tertutup yang berjumlah 88 pernyataan. Kuesioner terbagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu kemampuan hard skills sebanyak 28 pernyataan dengan indikator yaitu menyimak dan berbicara, membaca, menulis, menerjemahkan, teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, serta pemahaman lintas budaya. Sedangkan kemampuan soft skills sebanyak 60 pertanyaan dengan indikator kemampuan berkomunikasi dan menyelesaikan masalah, kerjasama dan belajar sepanjang hayat & pengelolaan informasi, kepemimpinan, kewirausahaan, etika dan profesionalisme, komitmen organisasi dan pengembangan diri, kejujuran dan ketulusan, serta integritas dan loyalitas. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 alumni program studi Sastra Jepang dari lima universitas, yaitu Universitas Padjadjaran, STBA Yapari ABA Bandung, Universitas Kristen Maranatha, Universitas Nasional Pasim dan Universitas Komputer Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, korelasi pearson dan anova satu jalur. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan lima hal berikut: Pertama, profil lulusan program studi sastra Jepang dinilai sudah memenuhi standar minimal yang diperlukan oleh perusahaan Jepang. Kedua, kemampuan hard skills dan soft skills lulusan program studi sastra Jepang dinilai relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja dimana lulusan terutama dengan jenis pekerjaan komunikator cenderung memiliki hard skills dan soft skills yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan jenis pekerjaan lainnya. Hard skills dan soft skills memilki hubungan yang sangat erat dan tidak dapat dipisahkan karena keduanya adalah saling melengkapi dan saling menyeimbangkan. Ketiga, kemampuan hard skills untuk keempat jenis pekerjaan dinilai sudah baik, akan tetapi keterampilan dalam menerapkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi belum sepenuhnya mendukung keterampilan-keterampilan lain dalam hard skills. Keempat, kemampuan soft skills pada keempat jenis pekerjaan dinilai sudah baik, karena setiap domain soft skills telah berjalan seiringan satu sama lainnya dalam membentuk soft skills yang utuh dan terpadu. Kelima, program studi sastra Jepang saat ini berupaya untuk menyesuaikan kurikulum yang telah berjalan dengan KKNI untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dunia kerja. Kata kunci: relevansi, kurikulum, sastra Jepang, hard skills, soft skills ------- This study was aimed to analyze the relevance of the Curriculum of Japanese Department with the related of the world of work. There are four categories of job types that are measured, namely communicators, instructors, administrators and managers. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire which amounted to 88 statements. The questionnaire was divided into two parts, namely the ability of hard skills as many as 28 statements with indicators namely listening and speaking, reading, writing, translating and interpreting, information and communication technology, and cross-cultural understanding. While the ability of soft skills is 60 questions with indicators of communication skills and problem solving, collaboration and lifelong learning & information management, leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics and professionalism, organizational commitment and self-development, honesty and sincerity, and integrity and loyalty. Data collection research was conducted through distributing questionnaires to 100 graduates of Japanese Department from five universities namely Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Kristen Maranatha, Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing Yapari ABA, Universitas Nasional Pasim, and Universitas Komputer Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis, pearson correlation and one-way anova. First, the profile of graduates of Japanese department is considered to have met the minimum standards required by Japanese companies. Second, the ability of hard skills and soft skills graduates of Japanese department are considered relevant to the needs of the working world where graduates especially with the type of work communicators tend to have higher hard skills and soft skills compared to other types of work. Hard skills and soft skills have a very close and inseparable relationship because the two are complementary and balance each other. Third, the ability of hard skills for the four types of work is considered good, but the skills in applying information and communication technology do not fully support the other skills in hard skills. Fourth, the ability of soft skills in all four types of work is considered to be good, because each domain of soft skills has gone hand in hand with one another in forming an integrated and integrated soft skills. Fifth, the Japanese department is currently trying to adjust the curriculum that has been running with KKNI to meet the needs of the workforce.
