Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan mengenai adanya indikasi kesiapan kerja peserta didik SMK yang belum sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan atau belum tergambarkan dengan jelas, karena melihat data penyerapan lulusan ke dunia kerja yang belum sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Artinya, daya serap ideal belum tercapai, baik secara nasional maupun di lingkungan Jawa Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran kesiapan kerja peserta didik peserta didik SMK Prakarya Internasional kelas XII Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) setelah melaksanakan Praktik Kerja Industri. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang peneliti gunakan yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Peneliti menggunakan teknik tersebut dikarenakan atas dasar kelas tersebut seluruh peserta didiknya sudah melaksanakan prakerin. Sample penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII TKR 1 yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dan pembahasan ditemukan bahwa kesiapan kerja peserta didik pada aspek pemahaman mendapatkan persentase sebesar 98%, pada aspek pengetahuan peserta didik memilik persentase sebesar 88%, pada aspek keterampilan peserta didik memiliki persentase sebesar 92%, dan pada aspek atribut kepribadian peserta didik memiliki persentase sebesar 81%. Dari semua aspek ditotalkan memiliki persentase kesiapan kerja sebesar 87% dengan tingkat kesiapan yang sangat tinggi, untuk bekerja di industri. ..... This research is motivated by problems regarding the indication of vocational readiness of vocational school students who are not in accordance with what is expected or not clearly illustrated, because they see data on the absorption of graduates into the world of work that is not in accordance with what is expected. That is, the ideal absorption capacity has not been achieved, both nationally and in the West Java environment. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of the work readiness of students of International Workshop Vocational School students in Class XII Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) after carrying out Industrial Work Practices. This research method uses descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique that researchers use is purposive sampling technique. The researcher uses this technique because on the basis of the class all the students have carried out the internship. The sample of this study was students of class XII TKR 1 totaling 25 students. Based on the findings and discussion, it was found that the work readiness of students on the understanding aspect gained a percentage of 98%, from all aspects determined to have a percentage of work readiness of 87% with a very high level of readiness, to work in the industry.
