Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tentang peningkatan keterampilan penalaran dan self efficacy siswa kelas VIII SMP melalui pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan majemuk pada materi tekanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian static group pretest and postest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang dari siswa MTS kelas VIII Ponpes Daar el Qolam pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes keterampilan penalaran berbentuk pilihan ganda beralasan dan angket self efficacy. Teknik pengolahan data melalui perhitungan n-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji Mann-Whitney. Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa: (1) peningkatan keterampilan penalaran siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran IPA berbasis kecerdasan majemuk lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. (2) peningkatan self efficacy siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran IPA berbasis kecerdasan majemuk lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.-- The aim of the present research is to improve reasoning skill and self efficacy of 8th grade of junior high school based on multiple intelligences learning in pressure concept. This research used quasy experiment with static group pretest and posttest design. The participants of the study involved of 60 students 8th grade in Tangerang at 2017-2018 year. Data were collected by a Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning created by Lawson and self efficacy scale. Data were analyzed through tests of normality, test of homogeneity of variances and test statistics Mann-Whitney. Results of this research indicated that (1) the improving reasoning skill of the student on multiple intelligences learning in pressure concept is higher significantly than the student based on conventional learning. (2) the improving self efficacy of the student on multiple intelligences learning in pressure concept is higher significantly than the student based on conventional learning.
