Abstract
Instrument yang digunakan yaitu Test Gross of Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2). Analisis data menggunakan bantuan SPSS (Statistikal Product and Service Solution) versi 21.0 IBM for Window. This reseach motivated by the low basic movement skills of children who have mild intelligence barries. Low basic movement skills cause children prefer to do motionless that resulted their motor skills are not well developed. Rhytmic activity is present to stimulate children to move actively and able to express themselves through movements and rhythms, as functioned as motion therapy as well. The purpose this study was to find out the effect of rhythmic activity as psychomotor therapy on basic movement skills for mild intelligence barriers students in Sumber sari SLB-C, Bandung. In addition, this study had quasi-experimental method and used one group pretest-posttest as the design with a sample of four people, with the Gross of Motor Development-2 Test (TGMD-2) as the instrument. In analyzing the data, SPSS (Statistics Product and Service Solution) version 21.0 IBM for Window was chosen. The result showed the average value in the pre-test was 36.25% and at the post-test was 69.75%, which determines that the treatment works and has an impact of 33.50%. In the results of the Wilcoxon hypothesis testing, the probability value was (0.34) <0.05. Thus, the rhythmic activity as a psychomotor therapy is seen as effective way in improving the basic movement skills of students with mild intelligence barriers.
