Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran soft skills mahasiswa Departemen Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FPTK UPI. gambaran soft skills akan menjadi bahan evaluasi untuk pengembangan soft skills di DPTM FPTK UPI. Jenis penelititian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Adapun sampelnya berjumlah 99 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari mahasiswa angkatan 2014 dan 2015. Pemilihan angkatan 2014 dan 2015. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tentang soft skills yang terdiri dari tujuh aspek sebagai berikut: keterampilan berkomunikasi, keterampilan organisasi, kepemimpinan, keterampilan berpikir logis, daya juang, keterampilan bekerjasama, dan etika. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala likert. Skala ini terdiri dari 57 item yang diujicobakan dan kemudian diperoleh 45 item yang memenuhi keterwakilan untuk digunakan dalam penelitian setelah diuji expert judgement, validasi butir, dan uji reliabilitas. Skala ini Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS 23.00. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar soft skills mahasiswa DPTM FPTK UPI berada di kategori tinggi (70,6%). Soft skills mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori sedang sebesar 28,4% dan pada kategori rendah sebesar 1%. ;--The research aims to find out the soft skills college students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering FPTK UPI. The description of soft skills will be an evaluation of material for developing soft skills in the DPTM FPTK UPI. The type of this research is a survey research using a quantitative descriptive approach. The sampling retrieval technique using probability sampling technique. Total the sample are 99 college students which consists of 2014 and 2015 college students. The reason to choose 2014 and 2015 force is the college students are at the final level completed of studies and have conducted almost all college subjects. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire about soft skills that is seven aspects. The aspects of soft skills as follows communication skills, organization skills, leadership, logical thinking skills, strength struggle, cooperation skills, and ethics. The measuring instrument used the Likert scale. This scale consisted of 57 items were tested and then obtained 45 items were qualifying for used in this research. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics with SPSS 23.00. The results of this research showed that most soft skills of college students DPTM FPTK UPI are in the high category (70.6%). Soft skills of college students who are in medium category by 28.4% and low category by 1%.
