Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya kenakalan remaja yang terjadi maka dari itu pola pembinaan boarding school menjadi salah satu harapan orangtua agar anak tidak melakukan kenakalan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pembinaan, respon dan dampak boarding school dalam mencegah kenakalan remaja. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Data disajikan dari berbagai pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen dengan informan yang terdiri dari pengurus boarding school dan santri. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola pembinaan yang diterapkan di Al Masoem Islamic Boarding School menggunakan pola pembinaan demokratis, pendekatan eksperiensial, sistem poin, metode reward and punishment dan strategi komunikasi persuasif. Respon santri terhadap pola pembinaan ada dua yaitu respon positif dengan mematuhi tata tertib dan respon negatif dengan melanggar tata tertib. Dampak dari pola pembinaan ini menunjukan hasil yang baik dilihat dari tingkat pelanggaran santri yang rendah. Santri merasa senang selama di boarding school karena memiliki kedekatan yang baik dengan pengurus boarding school dan teman-temannya. Kontrol sosial bertujuan untuk menertibkan anggota yang melanggar aturan, dari upaya pola pembinaan ini ternyata efektif untuk menertibkan santri karena berfungsi sebagai kontrol sosial dalam mencegah kenakalan remaja.;--This research is motivated by the many juvenile delnquency that happens therefore the development pattern of boarding school is one of the hopes of parents so that the children don’t delinquency teenagers. The research aims to know the development patterns, response and impact of boarding school in preventing juvenile delinquency. The research approach used is a qualitative approach and a case study method. Data is presented from various data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and document analysis with informant consisting of boarding school and students. The result showed that the construction patterns applied in Al Masoem Islamic Boarding School used a pattern of democratic development, an experiencial approach, reward and punishment method, poin system and persuasive communication strategy. The students have two response to the development pattern, positive response by complying with the orer and negative response by violating the code of conduct. The impact of this development pattern show good results seen from the low level of violations of the students. Student was pleased while at boarding school because it had a good proximity with the caretaker boarding school and his friends. Social control aims to set the students in order to serve as social control in preventing juvenile delinquency.
