Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul Pengembangan Alat Ukur Pelatihan Kemampuan Efekif Membaca Berbasis Android untuk Siswa Kelas 5 SD ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tersedianya perangkat lunak berbasis Android untuk mengukur kemampuan efektif membaca siswa kelas 5 SD yang sesuai dengan jenjang kognisi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan proses dan alat evaluasi pembelajaran membaca pemahaman di kelas 5 SD; (2) mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan alat ukur pelatihan kemampuan efektif membaca berbasis Android untuk siswa kelas 5 SD; dan (3) mendeskripsikan implementasi produk alat ukur pelatihan kemampuan efektif membaca berbasis Android untuk siswa kelas 5 SD. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) Borg and Gall dengan desain yang dikembangkan oleh Sukmadinata. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) proses pembelajaran membaca pemahaman di kelas 5 SD tidak dilakukan secara khusus dan menggunakan alat evaluasi yang digunakan yang sederhana; (2) proses pengembangan produk yaitu pemilihan teks dan soal pemahaman serta pengembangan aplikasi pelatihan kemampuan efektif membaca berbasis Android; dan (3) hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa 92% responden menilai aplikasi ini sangat baik.;--The study, entitled is “The Development of Measuring Instrument of Training Effective Reading Ability Android-Based for Fifth Grade of Elementary School Students” was motivated by unavailability of Android-based software to measure the effective reading ability for 5th grade elementary school student accordance from student cognition level. The purpose from this research are: (1) to describe the process and evaluation tools for reading comprehension learning in 5th grade elementary school; (2) describes the process of developing an android-base effective reading ability training tool for 5th grade elementary students; and (3) describe the implementation of an Android-based effective reading tool to measuring effective reading skills training for 5th graders. To achieve this goal, researcher used Borg and Gall research and development (R&D) method with developed design by Sukmadinata. Results of this study are; (1) reading comprehension learning process in 5th grade elementary school is not more specifically and uses evaluation tools that are used in a simple way; (2) process of development product, the name is selection of the texts and the problem of understanding and developing an Android-based effective reading ability application training; and (3) the results of field trials showed that 92% of respondents rated this application as very good.
