Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi menggunakan model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog, respons siswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi menggunakan model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog, dan perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah diberi perlakuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan berbentuk nonequivalent control group design, melibatkan dua kelompok; kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas lima di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri yang terdapat di kota Bandung. Jumlah sampel yaitu sebanyak 46 siswa, terbagi dalam 23 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 23 siswa kelas kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan selama 32 hari, sejak 2 april hingga 4 mei 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses pembelajaran menulis menggunakan model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog terdiri dari enam langkah, diantaranya mengidentifikasi masalah, menentukan masalah sebagai kajian kelas, mengumpulkan informasi, mengembangkan portofolio, penyajian portofolio, dan refleksi hasil belajar; respons siswa setelah penerapan model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi umumnya baik; dan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberi model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog dengan kelas kontrol yang diberi model pembelajaran terlangsung. Model project citizen berbantuan jurnal dialog dapat dijadikan salah satu modus untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menulis siswa sekolah dasar.;This study aims to determine the process of learning to write exposition text using the citizen project model through dialogue journals, student responses after learning to write exposition text using the citizen project model through dialogue journal, and the difference in significant improvement in the writing skills of exposition text students in the experimental class and the control class after being treated. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The research design used was in the form of nonequivalent control group design, involving two groups; experimental class and control class. The sample in this study is fifth grade students in one of the state elementary schools located in Bandung. The number of samples is 46 students, divided into 23 experimental class students and 23 control class students. The study was conducted for 32 days, from 2 April to 4 May 2019. The results showed the learning process of writing using a citizen project model through dialogue journals consisted of six steps, including identifying problems, determining problems as class studies, gathering information, developing portfolios, presenting portfolios, and reflection on learning outcomes; student responses after the application of the citizen project model through dialogue journals in learning to write exposition text are generally good; and there is a significant difference in the improvement of the exposition text writing skills of the experimental class students who were given a citizen project model through a dialogue journal with a control class given a model of on-going learning. The citizen project model through dialogue journals can be used as a mode to develop elementary school students' writing skills.
