Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh metode pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing (Guided Inquiry) dan pemecahan masalah (Probelm Solving) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental dengan desain eksperimen non equivalent group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI IIS dengan tiga kelas, dua kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol yang masing-masing menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing, pemecahan masalah, dan metode ceramah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan metode pemecahan masalah dan ceramah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Implikasinya adalah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan pemecahan masalah.;-- The purpose of this study was to test the influence of guided inquiry learning method and problem solving to students critical thinking skill. The method used in this research was a quasi experimental with non equivalent group design. This research was conducted in the class XI IIS with three rooms where two rooms were experimental class and one room was control class using theguided inkuiri method, problem solving, and lecture method. The results of this research showed that there was a difference where students critical thinking skill by using the guided inkuiri method was more effective than using problem solving and lecture method in improving students’ critical thinking skill. The implication of this research was the improvement of students’ critical thinking skill could be improved through the application ofguided inquiry learning method and problem solving method.
