Abstract

Sumber ide penulis dalam berkarya seni, khususnya dalam penciptaan motif bordir berawal dari keberadaan ombak laut di lingkungan sekitar. Sebagai bentuk ungkapan rasa syukur penulis terhadap keindahan alam tersebut, diungkapkan dalam penciptaan motif bordir untuk busana formal perempuan. Penciptaan motif bordir tersebut, penulis ambil dari ciri khas ombak perusak pantai. Fokus masalah penciptaan dalam karya tugas akhir ini meliputi; (1) Bagaimana proses mengembangkan motif ombak sebagai gagasan dalam berkarya?, (2) Bagaimana visualisasi bordir motif ombak dalam bentuk karya busana formal perempuan? Tujuan dari penciptaan motif ombak untuk busana formal perempuan ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses mengembangkan ide ombak dalam penciptaan motif bordir untuk busana formal perempuan, (2) Untuk mengetahui visualisasi bordir motif ombak dalam bentuk karya busana formal perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan penulis adalah dengan cara studi literatur dan metode observasi biasa. Dalam pengumpulan data penulis melakukan pengamatan ombak perusak pantai di Pantai Madasari untuk dijadikan motif border, kemudian melakukan observasi melalui hasil karya yang telah dibuat. Langkah selanjutya adalah pembuatan desain motif ombak pada kertas setelah mendapatkan ide berkarya. Kemudian memindahkan motif ombak pada kain dengan teknik bordir. Proses penyelesaian dalam penciptaan motif bordir ini yaitu menjahit kain yang telah selesai dibordir menjadi busana formal perempuan. Karya yang tercipta, dalam pembuatannya kebanyakan menampilkan motif ombak pantai yang menggulung. Pola yang digunakan kebanyakan memakai pola pengulangan dengan keselarasan yang sesuai dengan desain busana formal perempuan. Irama yang sering muncul dalam karya penulis adalah irama repetitif, dengan keseimbangan simetris.;--The source of the author's ideas in art work, especially in the creation of embroidery motifs originated from the existence of sea waves in the surrounding environment. As a form of expression of the author's gratitude for the beauty of nature, expressed in the creation of embroidery motifs for women's formal attire. The creation of the embroidery motif, the author takes from the characteristics of the beach destructive waves. The focus of the creation problem in this final project includes; (1) How to develop a wave motif as an idea in the work ?, (2) How do you visualize the embroidery of a wave motif in the form of women's formal dresswork? The purpose of creating wave motifs for women's formal wear are (1) To find out how to develop wave ideas in the creation of embroidery motifs for women's formal attire, (2) To realize the visual form of embroidery for the wave motif in the creation of embroidery motifs for women's formal attire. Data collection techniques used by the author are by means of literature studies and ordinary observation methods. In collecting data, the author observes the destructive waves of the beach at Madasari Beach to be used as border motifs, then observes through the work that has been made. The next step is to make the design of the wave motif on paper after getting the idea to work. Then move the wave motif on the fabric with embroidery techniques. The process of completion in the creation of this embroidery motif is sewing cloth that has been finished embroidered into women's formal attire. The work that was created, in its making mostly featured the rolling waves of the beach waves. The pattern used mostly uses a pattern of repetition with alignment that is in accordance with women's formal dress designs. The rhythm that often appears in the work of the writer is a repetitive rhythm, with a symmetrical balance.
