Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh rendahnya sikap percaya diri peserta didik kelas IV-C SDN S di Kecamatan Cihapit Kota Bandung. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pendekatan atau model yang digunakan saat pembelajaran berlangsung sehingga siswa malu untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode role playing untuk meningkatkan sikap percaya diri siswa kelas IV-C SDN S di kecamatan Cihapit Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian di kelas IV SD yang berjumlah 37 orang. PTK ini prosedurnya berbentuk siklus yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa Lembar Observasi Guru-Siswa, Lembar Observasi Hasil percaya diri dan Dokumentasi. Pengolahan data berupa data kualitatif (reduksi data, paparan data, penatiak kesimpulan) dan data kuantitatif ( penentuan kategori dan presentase tuntas). Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan percaya diri pada siswa kelas IV SDN S di Kota Bandung dengan menerapkan metode role playing. Kata Kunci : Metode Role Playing, Percaya Diri.   ABSTRACT APPLICATION OF THE ROLE PLAYING METHOD TO IMPROVE CONFIDENCE IN CLASS IV STUDENTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL by Asri Aulia Rachman 1501827 Abstract: This research is motivated by the low self-confidence of students in class IV-C elementary school in Cihapit District, Bandung City. This is caused by the lack of approaches or models used when learning takes place so students are ashamed to express their opinions. This study aims to describe the application of the role playing method to improve the confidence of students of class IV-C elementary school in the district of Cihapit, Bandung. The research method used was the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis & Taggart model consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. Research subjects in grade IV elementary school, amounting to 37 people. This CAR procedure is in the form of a cycle which is done in two cycles. Data collection techniques in the form of Teacher-Student Observation Sheet, Observation Sheet Results Confidence and Documentation. Data processing is in the form of qualitative data (data reduction, data exposure, conclusion managers) and quantitative data (determination of categories and percentage of completion). The findings of this study indicate an increase in confidence in the fourth grade students of elementary school in Bandung by applying the role playing method.
