    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil miskonsepsi siswa SMA kelas XI di daerah Bandung Barat pada materi konsep mol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pilihan ganda dua tingkat berbasis piktorial yang terdiri atas 17 soal. Instrumen tersebut telah diuji kelayakannya dengan nilai CVR adalah satu, serta nilai Cronbach’s Alpha (reliabilitas) untuk keseluruhan butir soal sebesar 0,703. Butir soal diaplikasikan kepada siswa kelas XI di sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil aplikasi, teridentifikasi miskonsepsi yang paling banyak dialami siswa pada materi konsep mol, yaitu massa atom relatif adalah perbandingan massa atom terhadap massa atom unsur lainnya (30,4%). Miskonsepsi siswa SMA kelas X pada materi konsep mol di sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah di daerah Bandung Barat memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan uji One Way Anova yang menunjukkan tingkat signifikansi < 0,05, yaitu 0,001. Berdasarkan persentase total miskonsepsi siswa untuk setiap konsep, miskonsepsi siswa di sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. ..... The aim of this research is to determine profile of the eleventh-grade high school students’ misconceptions in West Bandung on material mole concept. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The instrument used two-tier multiple choice-based on pictorial which consist 17 questions. The instrument has been tested validity with CVR which values are one and the value of Cronbach's Alpha (reliability) for the entire items amounted to 0.703. Items applied to the eleventh-grade students in high, medium and low school. Based on the results of the application, the identified misconceptions most experienced students in the material mole concept is: the relative atomic mass is the ratio of atomic mass to atomic mass of other elements (30.4%). Misconception of the eleventh-grade high school students in West Bandung on the material electrolyte and nonelectrolytes solution in high, medium and low school in West Bandung area have significant differences by One Way Anova indicates the level of significance < 0.05 (0.001). Based on the percentage of the total misconception of students for each concept, misconceptions students in high, medium and low school have significant differences.
